TopDawg31 Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 Question brought up on local radio station. All Homerism aside...do you deal him? hell no, he will stay clean this time...lol. Use em til he can play no longer, why let some other team use that privilege?
TypicalBrowns Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 God i hope he does, recievers look golden with him starting
Guest Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 Trade him? Because 23 year old, big, fast receivers who lead the league in receiving their second year grow on trees? Zombo
cuwoohio Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 No way.......I don't know what you could get that fills a need on this team more than he does. Besides, if that would happen, I'm sure he haunt us the rest of his career.
Kvoethe Posted September 8, 2014 Author Report Posted September 8, 2014 Was just an interesting question..i mean look at the headaches and frustration this season. If im a business man/ investor..sometimes the risk isnt worth the reward. Although Crowell i guess had a problem at Georgia, he could be steal of draft. Do i hope he stays clean, sure..if they raise the weed limit..does that give him more of a reason to blaze up? Tough questions, No reason for anger.
Erie Dawg Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 Everything's for sale, for the right price.
JAFBF Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 I'd like to see him clean up his life and retire a Brown.
thenew23 Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 Keep him. He's just too damn good. We'd never get anything back that could make up for losing that type of talent.

choco Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 Headaches and frustration often come with talent. Its when the talent fails to exceed everything else that you let it become someone else's problem. Gordon...does not fit that profile. Look how far the ravens went to keep ray rice. Only when the powderkeg of outrage burst did they do anything about it. Gordon smokes weed ffs....
darubes Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 After watching this team for 40+ years I have seen receivers that are big, receivers that are fast, receivers that can catch, but I have never seen one that could do all three until I saw Josh Gordon. This kid is only 23 and has just scratched the surface on what he can do The issue will not be if he should be traded but if the Browns can pay him what he will demand in the future is he says straight.
jrb12711 Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 The biggest issue is no one would offer anything more than a 5th round for him I'm sure. The risk is worth the reward to keep him whenever he comes back.
ahitz3 Posted September 9, 2014 Report Posted September 9, 2014 No If he's reinstated he did nothing wrong according to the new rules. (Except for the dwi which at least won't get him a year) I can't actually believe we are talking about reinstatement right now WOULD BE AWESOME if that happens.
Mark O Posted September 9, 2014 Report Posted September 9, 2014 To someone who has 2 first round picks next season, sure I'll trade him for that. Otherwise, no I'm not trading him just for the sake of moving him. If someone is willing to overpay (like the Herschel Walker trade), I'll trade him in a heartbeat.

I was just about to post the same thing. No one will give us what he's worth
LBC mike Posted September 9, 2014 Report Posted September 9, 2014 Not even Jerry Jones? Throw in jf. He will
Kvoethe Posted September 9, 2014 Author Report Posted September 9, 2014 Throw in jf. He will Beat me to it lol!
jcam222 Posted September 10, 2014 Report Posted September 10, 2014 You just cant trade the guy. Right now we wouldn't get close to his upside value. Honestly you could draft a receiver in the top 10 of the first round for the next 10 years and there is a high potential you wouldnt get an equal talent. He is not a monetary burden playing or suspended. You have to ride this thing out and hope he flys straight or at least under the radar lol.
Sir Barksalot Posted September 10, 2014 Report Posted September 10, 2014 No way do you trade him !! You re-sign him for 7 years if you can immediatly. Probably will be the cheapest price right now that he is gonna be for the rest of his career. If he ends up suspended or indefinitly suspended from the league it cost the team nothing while he is out. Seems like nothing to lose and everything to gain to me. Hell I would still do it now whether he comes back this year or not. But of course Im not really one that really cares to much about what characters the players are, could care less if they even played high or drunk as long as they kick ass and win. I care as much about Josh Gordon the young man as Josh Gordan cares about me and that would be a big fat spuadoosh. All I care is if he can score on sundays ( And he def does ). Never trade your best player and we have a shot to lock up our best player long term at wal-mart pricing.
Tour2ma Posted September 10, 2014 Report Posted September 10, 2014 I wish to amend my earlier "no" to the question of trading Josh... Josh Gordon is now on the trading block in Browns Board 2 Fantasy League... Act now as the price will only rise upon his immanent reinstatement.
