Soju Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 Titans Steels Jags Raiders Bucs ...then Cincy We are seething, the team is mad and know they could very easily be 3-0. They are going to take these inferior teams coming up behind the shed and whoop the freaking tar out of them. 6-2 going into Cincy. Book it.
bbedward Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 Dig the optimism, they're definitely all winnable games. We always give cincy a run for their money, too.

We shat our pants today and lost a game we HAD IN THE FUCKIN BAG before sharting multie times. Ill be optimistic when this team shows me they can finish, and finish consistently. They have never shown this, so your assumption is wishful thinking at best. Hell ill be the first to say our roster is loaded, I think we have playoff talent on our team, but it doesn't mean shit if we continue to do stupid shit to lose games we outplayed our opponents In. Today was a gut wrenching loss. Painful. There are no F'ing moral victories, and certainly no reason to assume we run off 5 straight against shitty teams.
Tour2ma Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 Very doable... Who hacked soju's account???
thenew23 Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 Hopefully a bye week causes some guys come back to play with a chip on their shoulder and a little more fire
Soju Posted September 22, 2014 Author Report Posted September 22, 2014 Hopefully a bye week causes some guys come back to play with a chip on their shoulder and a little more fire we come out playing with fire the first two series AT HOME> playing in another's home stadium we may not have that same intensity confindence and energy from th crowd. No matter what we always lose that confidence in the mid-late 3rd quarter and 4th. We have to win the game by half time or else we WILL lose. This team cant afford mistakes, and when we DO make mistakes, we aren't confident and good enough to overcome them. Truth.

This right here^^^ I can technically see a UFO landing at midfield during the Titans game and some little fuckers getting out and talking shit. Doesn't mean it's gonna happen. When I see someone from the Browns say holy fucking shit I'm gonna take a shit on the sideline infront of camera's the next time some practice squad ngr runs over my ass for 100 yds.....than i'll be "optimistic" about ripping off 5 straight wins. That Steelers game at home will tell us who we are in 3 weeks. If we lose that game the season is over. We have to win the Titans game, obviously...than we have to kick the ever loving Shiite out of the Steelers at home. Even if the score is close, there has to be multiple players going on the IR on their side. It has to be war. We cannot lose another division game and expect this season to mean shit. If, god forbid, we lose the next two games just pack it in and start putting out the voodoo on the Bills so maybe we can draft a good WR and maybe find a linebacker with a few felony murder charges that never stuck.

calfoxwc Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 Actually, I had said the same thing to Canton Mike in his car - the next five games look like an easier part of the schedule, Pukesburg, NO and Buttimore was a tough first three games, and the two losses came down to a field goal. Things are really lookin up, watch out when the Browns get it all down and stop making penalties.
D Bone Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 It could happen. The bye is at the right time for us to come up with a fix to our pathetic defense, and our offense has been fine.
Frenchie Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 I would be happy with 4-4 heading into Cinci. I don't think our WR's or QB's are playoff caliber but the OL and RB's are performing well - especially in the run game. Right now the D does not look playoff caliber but I'm hoping that changes after the bye because the talent is there for it to be playing that way. Special teams are a real sore spot for the team right now.
Clevfan4life Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 No the offensive strength of the team has been the running game and Hoyers composure. WR's haven't been losing anything i'll grant you that. We still need a #1 receiver, we have absolutely no idea what's going to happen with Gordon in the future even he comes back this year and plays lights out. If he goes down again we need someone to step in. Not disparaging the guys on the team now they're doing a good job, but they're not that over top deep threat. I would think that was obvious idiot. WR have been the strength of this team you idiot
USFBrown Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 The problem with your logic is that, for instance, Titans fans are saying the same about their team. The Tits played bad and by your analogy should be primed to win and rectify their bad play. That kind of thinking has no basis in logic and it won't have much, if any implication on how next week turns out. Here is my observation, Like the Kosar-Schottenhiemer Browns, this team hasn't sown an ability to maintain and preserve a lead/win in the final stretch of a game. Taken in whole, the Browns were an equal to the Ravens for most of the game. But down the stretch, we again can't make plays. Is this team better than last years? Are our players better? You know the difference in speed between the best WR or RB and the worst in the NFL is microscopic. SO yes, some of our players can make the same kind of highlight-big plays as the Mannings, Big Bens and AJ Greens.... However, our guys don't do it routinely. To me that's the difference and no matter how you may want to pimp this team, it doesn't matter that we beat a good team and lost two games by a twat hair; the team is still sporting a losing record. Manziel might be that playmaker addition, but I am not high on him. I saw him in drills and he is very Tim Couch-like. He holds on to the ball way too long. Five wins in a row? Not going to happen, and here is why. Two of the teams are outright better, one is about even and we may have an edge over two. Be that as it may, the " any given Sunday rule" works both for and against you, and the Browns can easily, and will probably lose to one of the teams it should beat. The Browns talent, maturity and confidence is not yet at the level where we can count on being stronger than the weak teams. We ARE one of the weak teams. I see the Browns going 2 - 3 and heading into Cinci 3 - 5. Yeah, shit can happen and that's why I don't bet football, but one has to be realistic. The Browns are not likely to go 5 - 0 and not likely to beat the Steelers. Ding ding ding. Reality check right there. Spot on post.
gftChris Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 We will lose one of those games at least. We just will. We shouldn't, but we'll find a way to lose to someone like Oakland. But we should be at least 4-4, hopefully 5-3. But shit me, if we can get to Game 11 when Gordon comes back at 5-5, or even 4-6, we should be looking at 7-9 or 8-8, which I'd consider a success after 23 wins in 5 years.
DieHardBrownsFan Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 I have to tell you, I never feel confident of a win, even with a fairly large lead until the clock reads 0.00. I remember we played the bears back a few years ago with a 2 touch lead and less then 2 min to play, and lost.

darkside5 Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 I believe we're capable of winning the next five, but expect we win four. Id be happy if we won three, but will probably win two. IF we only win one I pray it's against the Squealers. GO BROWNS!
JAFBF Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 Problem is, we've not been great after the Bye. Last time we won after the Bye was 2010. Last year we went into the Bye 3-2, and came out as flat and lifeless as I've seen. Unless they break out the Cattle Prods and stick 'em up the D's ass, I don't much reason to expect us to come out anything other than flat again. The surprise to me so far has been the O, much better than expected, but I thought Hoyer was a capable QB. The D is surprise too, in that it is just so bad, and the Stat's are backing that up (Horton always liked to break those out last year). Special Teams - early every year we wonder how on Earth Tabor is still here, then by late year (when it doesn't matter anymore) they show up.
calfoxwc Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 The difference is, there are no glaring weaknesses to this team as far as personel goes. Adjustments, which every team has to be able to do, will come. Who was it in football that said it takes about 3 years to get an offense system down? well, the Browns have only had three games that count. Look at how badly the squeelers lost to the ratbirds. 26--6. The Browns lost by another late field goal twice now, to both. This is a different football team, one that is geared up to start winning. Enough with all the negativity...
Cbus Brownie Posted September 23, 2014 Report Posted September 23, 2014 I think we'll be 4-4 going into cincy game, and ill be fuckin happy with that after losing 2 games of of 3 that we easily could've won. If our D nuts up a bit, we can beat anyone. Double edge, we could lose to Tampa or Oakland too. Tough team to predict.
Bob806 Posted September 23, 2014 Report Posted September 23, 2014 I think the Browns are improved, but I wouldn't predict much. It's a young team with a new coaching staff. I was expecting a lot of 17-14 games this season, and so far that's way off. I want to believe that Pettine can get the defense fixed. We haven't been good at stopping TEs on pass routes, or stopping the run since the return. Like Crennel, the D is this guy's calling card. If he doesn't fix it, he knows he's a short-timer. Once the Browns start figuring out ways to win home games instead of losing them, it's going to be a struggle on all road games. We look like a better team than Tennessee right now, they have to win this game. If they don't, the season may unravel.
Tour2ma Posted September 23, 2014 Report Posted September 23, 2014 Problem is, we've not been great after the Bye. Last time we won after the Bye was 2010. Nor the other 16 weeks since 2010...
JAFBF Posted September 23, 2014 Report Posted September 23, 2014 Nor the other 16 weeks since 2010... True. The point I was trying to make was last year after the Bye we came out Flat, Fireless, and Lifeless. Can't say for sure if that was the case the other years, but after a loss like we just had and the way we opened the Season - wouldn't surprise me a bit.
