calfoxwc
A mock up, phony court, all "voluntary"... but they won't say what will happen if volunteers reject their judging... stupid. https://creepingsharia.wordpress.com/2015/01/28/islamic-sharia-tribunal-court-confirmed-in-texas/

sadbrownsfan
Isn't this just like instead of taking a case to small claims court you can take it in front of an arbitrator, kind of like the Judges shows "Peoples Court" and "Judge Judy"? calfoxwc
I think so, except Judge Judy really is legally certified by the ABA she's a retired judge: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judge_Judy
sadbrownsfan
For arbitration, do they actually need to have a law degree\certified? http://work.chron.com/arbitrators-lawyers-14405.html The simple answer is no as long as both parties agree to them being the arbitrator. This is outside the courts(hence why Judge Judy is considered "retired").
calfoxwc
Well, if you ask Judy about their decisions, and what happens if they don't comply with the decision, she'd tell you. The Muslim "arbiters" called themselves attorneys, meaning they had legal degrees. Not good.
sadbrownsfan
Well, if you ask Judy about their decisions, and what happens if they don't comply with the decision, she'd tell you. Um they never pay, that is the point of going on the show. But for a normal arbitrator there would be an agreement/contract, and not paying or following the arbitrators recommendation would be a breach of an agreement/contract The Muslim "arbiters" called themselves attorneys, meaning they had legal degrees. As long as they didn't actually go to court and pretend to be attorney this is just a ceist and deist letter, multiple infractions could warrant more(they had even updated the site already) Not good.
