Solon16
JT is in year three next year....drafting a top T in this years draft and putting them at RT...would be a pretty smart move to make if JT left after his contract is up....no? Groom one of these guys at RT then if we lose JT to Fa in 2 or three years...we have a replacement also have the best OL in football.....Just a thought not saying we do it but, I can see the logic. Would you all be pissed if we did???

YtownBrownsBacker
It makes sense but they would have to do something in FA, like a Bart Scott or Crowder and also pick up a few situational/backup players. Plus, they would have to have more then 4 draft picks.
Gips
Hopefully we wont lose JT when his contract is up and negotiations begin...2 years 2 pro bowls you dont let him walk we tag him if nothing else! We need depth/talent at WR we need a young strong RB we need a C desperately we need a backup qb if da is traded but most of all we need a impact linebacker x2 and a DE as well oh yeah...we need an impact SS as well..we really dont have the picks this year to afford snagging a OL with our #5 spot.. Maybe next year it never hurts to stockpile but only if you have most pieces of the puzzle together with extra picks to chance we dont...
Guest Aloysius
We're not going to let Joe Thomas leave in free agency. We'll franchise him year after year if we need to.

WPB Dawg Fan
Looks like the Browns are more interested in another LT....Augustus Parrish. Another prospect the team is showing some real interest in is Kent State offensive tackle Augustus Parrish. Parrish is said to be a fast riser since his performance at the East-West Shrine game last month. He has interviewed with the Browns twice and also with the Bengals. 6'4" 297 lbs. Also plays OG. He is rated round 5 by NFLDraftScout.com

You don't always have to pick a impact lineman in the first round.

You mortgage the farm to keep LT's like him around. He's a Brown for life.
