Chicopee John
I disagree with the judge's decision. So much for fair and impartial. This was completely unnecessary, IMHO. Would a Yamulke need to be removed too?
DieHardBrownsFan
Its fair as long as it applies to all religions as she stated.

Opal312
They probably think she could hide an Uzi in her babushka. The article stated that it was about not giving one group of people, in this case a Muslim, special privileges. In court you have to adhere to a dress code. This applies to everyone! It's called "respect". The judge held her ground so as not to set a precedent that would diminish the law.

Chicopee John
No yarmulkes? I guess I should have read the article. PS If this is SOP, then why did somebody AND an editor (if there is one) find this newsworthy? Sounds like a pimple on an elephants ass.

Westside Steve
Seems like recently thats all you think. Personally I ain't outraged either. But anytime any judge gets the opportunity to chip away at anybody's religious freedom I think it's a bad thing. WSS

StinkHole
I think its an overreach by the judge...the woman was not wearing the typical female headdress that reveals the eyes only. This judge would also have to demand an old Slovenian woman remove her babushka.
