I'm sure there are people on both sides flip-flopping like this, just thought this was interesting - I wonder how his tea-party followers reacted?! Westside Steve
I'd be surprised if the gym at which he is a member uses this as an advertisement but... Plus cynic that I am I find it hard to believe that the gentleman whose biggest concern is retiring to suck off the taxpayers tit is, or ever was actually, a tea party member. gftChris
His other videos seem to be about guns and ranting about gay people. So, there's correlation with the tea party at least
Westside Steve
I'd have to see some of his pro gun anti gay videos before I decided they weren't subterfuge. But the tea parties number one concern seems to be lower taxes and smaller government. So I suggest that your fat buddy here is posing as a tea party member. FairHooker11
I really think this guy is speaking for a big part of the unemployed but not looking for work demographic - BUT I dont think he is truthful about being associated with the tea party, for instance because he sold out to the freebies. But if you were tempted to use a funny smear on the cause of some people groups who are trying to do the right thing - getting the typical fat white guy with a southern drawl is one way to spoof us. sadbrownsfan
Dude probably can't fit outside the door of his single wide. Or he is self employed, and makes enough money with his videos on youtube that he doesn't live on welfare, but couldn't afford the insurance and had to continue working a second job. I have worked with quite a few people who where only working for health insurance.
mohican
The title suggests that there is one monolithic Tea Party and that all of its members share common behavior, which is a fallacy.
Westside Steve
I do believe the Tea Party is basically traditional values, smaller government lower taxes and less government intrusion into our day-to-day lives. The left would like to expand that to racism fundamentalism and anti gay for smear purposes. WSS WSS

The Cysko Kid
obamacare is indeed mode affordable month to month than medical mutual who I was going through with one caveat. You can't use it for anything except dramatic emergency situations because the deductible is so high. Moving up in plans wouls not make it any more affordable than my previous cost prohibitive plan. The Cysko Kid
I have a wife and kids and my deductible is around 12,000. Which is ridiculous. I have to pay their appointments out of pocket. But, however, when my youngest son needed surgery last year it covered it very nicely.

The Cysko Kid
However I only pay like 80 bucks a month as opposed to 400+ on medical mutual. Better deductible to be sure but since I rarely use it it's a rolling the dice type situation
Gidget
And how much would it be if you weren't getting a subsidy? $800, $900, $1,000 a month?......for people not eligible for a subsidy, I don't call that affordable, plus they have that high deductible on top of that. Westside Steve
My Aetna plan was discontinued because of the ACA, they informed me after the first of the month so after 1 month uninsured I was able to switch 2 Medical Mutual. I was on their Gold Plan at approximately 750 dollars a month. At the end of that month they were forced to discontinue the Gold Plan and moved me to the silver plan at $650 a month but with a huge deductible and Big out of pocket limit. So for what it's worth it's done nothing but screw me. Well. ... WSS
