If those rules were paraphrased Cal which it appears they were I pulled them out and will let Alinsky's own words speak for them self which you have posted below:

Yes, it is. There is some kind of weird historical occurence with tyranny by corrupt government.

We really are headed for big, serious trouble. Note - that Saul Alinksi was noted for writing his

rules for radicals..... the above was paraphrased, apparently...

Saul Alinsky's rules:

****************************

The closest analog (in form, if not in content) to the above-reproduced list of "How to create a social state" to be found in the writings of Saul Alinsky is the following list of "power tactics" Alinsky outlined in his 1971 book Rules for Radicals:

Always remember the first rule of power tactics: Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have.

The second rule is: Never go outside the experience of your people. When an action is outside the experience of the people, the result is confusion, fear, and retreat.

The third rule is: Wherever possible go outside the experience of the enemy. Here you want to cause confusion, fear, and retreat.

The fourth rule is: Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules. You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.

The fourth rule carries within it the fifth rule: Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counterattack ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, who then react to your advantage.

The sixth rule is: A good tactic is one that your people enjoy. If your people are not having a ball doing it, there is something very wrong with the tactic.

The seventh rule: A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag. Man can sustain militant interest in any issue for only a limited time, after which it becomes a ritualistic commitment, like going to church on Sunday mornings.

The eighth rule: Keep the pressure on, with different tactics and actions, and utilize all events of the period for your purpose.

The ninth rule: The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.

The tenth rule: The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this unceasing pressure that results in the reactions from the opposition that are essential for the success of the campaign.

The eleventh rule is: If you push a negative hard and deep enough it will break through into its counterside; this is based on the principle that every positive has its negative.

The twelfth rule: The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative. You cannot risk being trapped by the enemy in his sudden agreement with your demand and saying "You're right — we don't know what to do about this issue. Now you tell us."

The thirteenth rule: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.

So, the list OBF posted isn't what the rules are - but that list is representative of Alinsky's

radical rules, which are also based on communist revolution "rules".

And guess who TAUGHT SAUL ALINKSY in college?

Applying Alinsky's 12 Rules for Radicals in Ferguson

Rule 1 - Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have. In Ferguson, the media will play-up the number of people involved in protests by the words they use and the pictures they select to magnify the problem. It appears that society is oppressing the protestors. Thereby the government that is accused of oppression in Ferguson will garner more power and money so it can work at solving problems in Ferguson.

Rule 2 - Never go outside the expertise of your people. Ferguson protests will not address real problems in the community. The protests will showcase victimhood.

Rule 3 - Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy. The Ferguson protests will look for ways to build insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty among black conservatives and whites in other parts of St. Louis. “Those people just don’t understand what we suffer.”

Rule 4 - Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules. Michael Brown may have just committed strong-arm robbery, but the focus is on whether in retrospect the police used the best possible judgment.

Rule 5 - Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. Mock the police. They have no defense. It’s irrational and infuriating, but if they over-react, catch it on film and you have won.

Rule 6 - A good tactic is one your people enjoy. It’s almost Christmas. Let’s loot some stores and get real good gifts this year.

Rule 7 - A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag. Keep coming up with new charges and new tactics so that news coverage and local excitement stays high.

Rule 8 - Keep the pressure on. Never let up. Keep attacking. If the police give-in on something, make new demands. If there is an indictment, start protesting the stacked jury and the unfair trial.

Rule 9 - The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself. Society’s imagination and ego can dream up many more consequences that the activist can. Play on that terror. Society will wear itself out preparing for the worst-case scenario. (State of emergency – mobilize the National Guard).

Rule 10 - If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive. Provoke overreaction by the police, which will stir public sympathy for a robber who assaulted a policeman sitting in his patrol car and sympathy for the mob that claims the robber as a cause.

Rule 11 - The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative. Be prepared to offer a “solution” that will build your power and future leverage over society.

Rule 12 - Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. Go after people, not institutions. People hurt faster. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule work.

You can’t tell the Players without a Program.
