Or, have background checks, and government programs to teach murderers to not murder with knives, and they will use something else as a weapon. No, wait, just outlaw all knives, unless they are only a molded piece of soft plastic, only one inch long. You don't need a steel knife to cut butter with.... they'll have boston stranglers all over the place, murdering a thousand a month with ropes.
