One Post Posted February 12, 2016 Report Posted February 12, 2016 It's about time to quit fucking around and get this season underway. Spring training is approaching fast. What is your early guess at the opening day starting lineup for the Tribe? (barring injury of course)
The Gipper Posted February 12, 2016 Report Posted February 12, 2016 There starting lineup will consist of 9 baseball players.......and I am not necessarily being facetious. This just seems like such a bland faceless bunch. There is little pop in this lineup. They will be lucky to have a guy hit 20 HRs or get 100 RBI. Starting pitching should seem solid.....OK, do something. I guess I have just grown weary of mediocrity.....or at least I have grown impatient of it.

I'm studing up on the Tribe in due time I'll have my lineup.
browns23 Posted February 16, 2016 Report Posted February 16, 2016 Well Brantley being out to start the season will hurt. I'd say the order will look like: Ramirez 3B Lindor SS Kipnis 2B Santana DH Gomes C Napoli 1B Chisenhall RF Rajai Davis LF Naquin CF My wild cards in the lineup are Ramirez and Naquin. With Brantley out, Naquin has a chance to crack the lineup as the center fielder. These two have had productive minor league careers as hitters (average pretty much no power), but are huge ifs at the major league level.

Browns149 Posted February 18, 2016 Report Posted February 18, 2016 I think Almonte will be the starter in CF. Atleast to start the season
One Post Posted February 19, 2016 Author Report Posted February 19, 2016 You think Brantley will be ready come opening day? If so I'd put him in the third spot.
browns23 Posted February 19, 2016 Report Posted February 19, 2016 I'd say Almonte will most likely be the starter, just hoping Naquin lights it up because he has a better bat. Brantley has been pretty much guaranteed to not be there for opening day. I prefer he doesn't suit up until he is actually ready or he'll look like Kipnis from 2 years ago.
One Post Posted February 20, 2016 Author Report Posted February 20, 2016 1 Lindor ss 2 Kipnis 2b 3 Brantley LF 4 Santana dh 5 Gomes C 6 Napoli 1b 7 Chisenhall RF 8 Ramirez 3b 9 Naquin CF I say Brantley starts the season!
browns23 Posted February 26, 2016 Report Posted February 26, 2016 Well looks like Almonte is out of lineup consideration. http://www.cleveland.com/tribe/index.ssf/2016/02/cleveland_indians_abraham_almo.html
One Post Posted February 27, 2016 Author Report Posted February 27, 2016 That sucks. The Tribe needs a HR guy and the HR leader last year only had 19.
gumby73 Posted April 9, 2016 Report Posted April 9, 2016 Well Boys, The Tribe go on 1st road trip & spoil Chicago's home opener in the cold than snow & than sun than snow. Winning formula, Good pitching, timely hitting & solid fielding. Fun to watch. Napoli looks like a solid addition..
wargograw Posted April 11, 2016 Report Posted April 11, 2016 Used to watch Naquin in college. Hell of a player. Absolute cannon arm. Would be nice if the Indians could actually get some games in.
The Gipper Posted April 11, 2016 Report Posted April 11, 2016 Wouldn't it be nice if the Indians would actually play some baseball games? I think they need to reconsider the baseball situation.....start the season where the southern/western/dome teams is where the games are played the first two weeks of the season. Seattle, Toronto and Milwaukee have retractable domes
