True that Kasich is not a moderate - he is establishment all the way though, pro-TPP and such (which automatically disqualifies him, despite all his other issues)

 

I thought you had to win 8 states to be considered for the nomination - the idea is that the RNC might change the rule which would snub both Trump and Cruz out of a contested convention.

 

As it looks now though, Trump is going to get to the 1237 or whatever number.

You also said that people can't run as an indpendent if they don't get selected by their party due to the sore loser law. That doesn't apply to Presidential races.

I started my original statement off with "outside of Trump". I also didn't realize his views on abortion were that far right. He seems like a decent guy and he at least acknowledge a gay wedding. Reading up on it now, I guess (outside of abortion) he seems somewhat moderate (or close) on a few social issues (which I was mostly referencing). More so than most of the recent Rep candidates. It can't be hard to seem the most moderate out of the group that was left (outside of Trump).

Cruz wins Wisconsin, 33 delegates to 3 (trump) so far, with 6 more to declare. Kasich got squat.

 

Sanders beats clinton 45-31 with 10 delegates to declare.
