CLEVELandMILIDH
By John Clayton ESPN.com Archive The Cincinnati Bengals added some much-needed size on their defensive line by reaching a one-year agreement with Tank Johnson, according to a source. For Johnson, whose career started with the Bears and most recently continued with the Cowboys, he will get a chance to go back to a more natural position along the defensive line. Johnson will play the "three-technique'' for the Bengals, giving him the chance to do some pass rush and shoot the gaps to make plays. The Cowboys tried to make him a nose tackle in their 3-4 defense the past couple of years. The 27-year-old Johnson was a second-round choice of the Bears in 2004. He started 15 games in three seasons for the Bears. The Bears released him after his eight-game suspension for a gun violation. The Cowboys picked him up and developed him into a nose tackle over the past two seasons. One of the appealing aspects of signing with the Bengals was a chance to work with former Cowboys coach Mike Zimmer, who is in his second season as the Bengals' defensive coordinator. He runs an aggressive 4-3 defense that fits Johnson's style.

Spunkonmyback DPOY
I just thought of a logical and realistic way for the Browns to get a really high pick in the 1st and third rounds.....A trade to Cincy. Right now I doubt they would give up a 1st and a 3rd for him but if he gets arrested for DUI and then assults the officer that would likely increase his value to the Bungals. If they find drugs or illegal weapon in the vehicle they would probably be willing to throw in another 2nd rounder.
ImpactPlaya
low rise high reward move for the Bengals. You can't have too many huge bodies when you play in the AFC North. Tank Johnson by all accounts has turned his life around. Its a one year deal,so if there is a chance that Johnson gets out of line,he'll be released. Its funny how 2 years ago all the national pundits were applauding how it was a great move by the Jerry Jones and Cowboys to bring Tank in.Now you if listen to Micheal Smith of ESPN,its a negative move. CLEVELandMILIDH
I saw this somewhere and thought it was pretty funny The Bengals adopted a new "Honor System", Yes your Honor, No your Honor.
onefellswoop7
Stupid signing from a character standpoint...he will find a way to get in trouble in Cincy. They always find a way. But, not a bad signing on the field. Tank didn't fit the 3-4 but was great in a 4-3. They paid little and if he keeps his nose clean that will really improve their front seven. Tobalaz
I wonder if any Browns fans that heckle him this season risk getting shot. Well, at least Tank has kept his nose relitivly clean as of late so he's one of the guys making the most of his 2nd chance unlike some others *cough*pacman*cough*
