calfoxwc Posted April 20, 2016 Report Share Posted April 20, 2016 haven't been able to start our Skil weed-whacker, took it in for service, because I pull on the start rope so many times, the coil spring broke. Turns out, it needs a new carb, new drive cable, new a few other things... would cost me 129 bucks to get it fixed. ...Can buy a NEW one for 149. ...asked about the carb, and found out that you can't leave gasoline in these engines anymore over the winter. the ethanol separates from the gas, and it corrodes the heck out of carborators, etc etc. Even plastic gas tanks. Never knew that. Whoever decided this was a smart idea, is a freakin egg-sucking weasel. Well, I bought a new one, bigger/straight shaft, and bought a metal blade for it. But something happened and ur pussy sours over then u come to the Browns board and emotionally/irrationally bleat about like a silly goat. Did it ever occur to you to read why they do it?
