Nutjob Kerry - we are now to be a borderless world

It shouldn’t be surprising coming from a one-world globalist like Secretary of State John Kerry, but graduating students at Northeastern University on Friday were told that they were being sent out into a “borderless world.”

Kerry told the new graduates, “The future demands from us something more than a nostalgia for some rose-tinted version of the past that did not really exist in any case. You’re about to graduate into a complex and borderless world.”

That rose-tinted past Kerry was yammering about apparently had to do with a time when the United States defended its southern border, because the comment occurred within the context of condemning Donald Trump’s promise of a border wall to stop illegal immigration. Kerry spent a fair amount of speech time directly or indirectly attacking Trump and his followers.

“You are the most diverse class in Northeastern’s history,” he told the students. “In other words, you are Donald Trump’s worst nightmare.”

Now, this is “Lt. Ketchup” Kerry, who by the way served in Vietnam (yes, he actually worked the war into his speech again), the same guy who spent months negotiating a nuclear treaty with the Iranians, proclaimed an agreement was reached and being put in place, only to have the Iranians turn around and publicly speak and act like there was no agreement. So sense is seldom in the same room when Kerry speaks.

Even for him, though, his graduation speech was uncommonly obtuse, apparently suggesting that because not enforcing borders didn’t stop 9/11, and because technology (like the Internet?) can reach across countries’ borders (electronically speaking, at least), then Trump’s idea to actually secure the border and build a wall that will keep a lot of criminals out is the equivalent of hiding from the problem, which, again, is … the Internet? But also disease and global warming — can’t forget those.

He said:

“And many of you were in elementary school when you learned the toughest lesson of all on 9/11. There are no walls big enough to stop people from anywhere, tens of thousand miles away, who are determined to take their own lives while they target others. Not in a clash of civilizations, but in an assault, a raw assault on civilization itself. So I think that everything that we’ve lived and learned tells us that we will never come out on top if we accept advice from soundbite salesmen and carnival barkers who pretend the most powerful country on Earth can remain great by looking inward and hiding behind walls at a time that technology has made that impossible to do and unwise to even attempt.”

In Lt. Ketchup’s view, the United States won’t be able to communicate with the rest of the world if we put up a fence that prevents criminals from swimming across the Rio Grande or driving through the desert between Baja and California. This despite that border-crossing technology he seems so concerned about.

In reality (the place where many Americans still live), you could use high technology to build a swell wall. Make it about 30 feet high above ground, some 15 feet underground, build in some seismic sensors to detect when tunnels are being dug underneath, add some radar to detect flyovers, coat the south side with Teflon, add some automated LRAD and taser turrets. … You could make the most intimidating wall in history that would keep out 99 percent of the troublemakers, then empower ICE and the Border Patrol to nab the rest and pack them onto a catapult for a quick trip home. It’s all a matter of political will, which up till now has been missing.

There are plenty of bad excuses for not building a wall, a lot more good reasons to do so.

The current state of our border — virtually nonexistent — is not the fault of just one administration, but the Obama Administration deserves a lion’s share of the blame because President Obama has worked unusually hard to ensure that our border is not enforced and that everybody who might want to cross illegally knows the door is wide open.

It’s people like Kerry, who are more concerned with their own agenda than they are with the health of the country, who have given voters reasons to get behind Trump.

It’s Kerry’s — and others’ — own “rose-tinted” vision of a borderless world that has jeopardized America’s continued existence and made a border wall a long-overdue necessity.
