WalterWhite
Why not Libertarians like Gary Johnson or Green Party candidates like Jill Stein?
LogicIsForSquares
The two parties pulled a fast one. They both came up with an arbitrary percentage of votes needed in the previous election (11 or 15%) in order for your party to be able to participate in the presidential debates. They did this after Ross Perot almost made them look foolish.
gftChris
That's pretty bullshit. I mean, I get that people predominantly only want to hear from one of the two that's likely to win, but that doesn't mean that every single debate has to only include those two. Look at the republicans this year, they had so many 'candidates' that some had to sit at the kids' table and debate. If your own party doesn't think you're viable enough to be in the main debate, you should probably hang it up.
Westside Steve
I think it's human nature to want to feel both like a Maverick and a sheep. Everybody wants to pretend they are an independent free-thinking individual but usually windup emulating other people who consider themselves independent free-thinking individuals.
