THE BROWNS BOARD

This Week in the AFC North

Well, we have had a lot of fun this year with Zoey and Zsa Zsa.

But we've kinda gotten away from why we are really here: To guarantee victory and put money in your pocket.

So I am sending Zoey to a Christmas Party ...

I'm sending Zsa Zsa to the Beach ...

And The Great Zomboni is clearing off the ol' crystal ball, and delivering some "Back Up The Truck" picks.

Merry Christmas ... These are my presents to you:

San Diego at Cleveland 1:00 PM Christmas Eve

They've been eliminated form contention. Their coach is going to get fired. Their team is going to move. And they want know part of flying across the country to play an 0-14 team in frigid Cleveland. Finally ... the perfect recipe for the Browns. Peace on earth, good will toward all men, and the victory formation this Holiday Season. BROWNS 24 CHARGERS 13

Cincinnati at Houston 8:25 PM Christmas Eve

The year we took the Littlest Shithead, I was on record saying that Tom Savage of Pitt was the best value in the draft. Well, he finally got on the field again, and he looked absolutely great. But, once those NFL defenses get some film on you, you can expect some rough patches. Then Bungles have had a rough year, but they're still a good enough team to beat any QB making his first start. BUNGLES 26 TEXANS 16

Baltimore at Pittsburgh 4:25 PM Christmas Day

The Steelers have their big three, and they are very well coached. Best coaching staff in the league. But overall talentwise, the Ravens are the best team in the division. They have the franchise QB offense, but they also have the defense you need to go with it come playoff push time. The Ravens will win easily and take the driver's seat to a division championship. RAVENS 31 STEELERS 14

One man's opinion Thursday night edition....

The franchise is flaming out. No, not the Browns. Were actually talking the Chargers. It seems highly likely the Chargers will be leaving San Diego. Mike McCoy probably is out, too, as coach. The Browns are playing in their final home game desperate to avoid a winless season. The more motivated Browns have a golden opportunity against the dysfunctional Chargers, who are 9-21 in their last 30 games.

Thats the worst skid of the 11-year Philip Rivers era. Robert Griffin III should be making his third start since returning from a shoulder injury that knocked him out for 11 games. Hes improved each game. He has more weapons than Rivers especially if Melvin Gordon has to miss another game. Rivers is pressing too much trying to overcome the Chargers cluster injuries at running back, defensive line and secondary. Hes been picked off 11 times in the last five games. San Diego has turned the ball over a league-high 32 times. Cleveland is anxious to get its first win.

The Browns want to reward their patient, loyal fans. The Chargers have no interest in traveling into freezing weather made worse by playing at an early start time for them. The Chargers season has been ruined by injuries, an astounding six fourth quarter blown leads and distracting franchise turmoil. San Diego just blew another fourth quarter lead in losing to the Raiders this past Sunday. The Chargers finish their season hosting the Chiefs next week. Those are their division rivals, the games they care about. They have little interest here. This is the Browns chance. Finally.

And SD-RB-Melvin Gordon-? | SD-WR-Keenan Allen-OUT | TV: CBS, DTV: 706 | MOSTLY CLOUDY, 30% CHANCE LIGHT SHOWERS. WEST WIND 7-12. GAME TEMP 39, RH 85% WIND CHILL 32

Not exactly an icy cold Cleveland winter day....unless you're used to really South California weather.

So BROWNS +6 in the last chance at home bowl.

And maybe I'll get some darts for Christmas to pick the rest but here goes:

HOU -1 vs CIN, BAL +4' vs PIT, GB -6' vs MIN

Ill just leave this right here....

Yep. These guys are f'ing annoying. You made a prediction about as easy to make as "the Patriots will make the playoffs this year if Brady stays healthy." Congrats, geniuses! Now go pat yourself on the back elsewhere. The rest of us want to have meaningful conversation.

Mod Edit: Gentlemen, Retard has been reincarnated.

**2016 Week 15** .. Prev ..... This ..... YTD
Straight-up .......... 32-18-1 .... 3-1 ..... 35-19-1
Vs. the spread .... 23-26-1 .... 3-1 ..... 26-27-1

Tempus fugits... How can the season's penultimate week already be? Ready or not...Here we go...

CIN @ HOU (-1.0)

Watched some of last week's 2016 debut of Tom Savage. He's made strides since 2015 and is not going to make it easy for the Brockweiller to get "his job" back. He gives HOU a real shot here... not just to win, but to dominate.

CIN? Staggering to the finish line minus Eifert, and now has nothing to play for. Expect them to play like it even though Marvin deserves better.

HOU 37 CIN 17

**DAILY DOUBLE**

BLT @ PTG (-4.5)

With only a pair of losses in their last 6 games, to the 'Boys and the Pats, BLT has really come on strong. The opponent that started them on that path? PTG...

PTG has probably cost me more this AFCN pick 'em season than any other team. They've exceeded my expectations, if not theirs. But what the hell...

BLT 20 PTG 18

SD @ CLE (+6.0)

Our next "best chance"... and probably our last.

I think we will score, but Rivers & Co., even without Gordon, are formidable. Our TE coverage issues continue as we face double trouble in the form of Gates and James.

Maybe next year...

SD 34 CLE 23

I would make soup from that zebra bikini bottom.

Hey Zombo, since you like to set odds, here is one I would like to see you come up with: Over/under on the total number of apostrophes in the names of all first round draft picks in the 2017 draft. Some have none, a lot have two, the occasional draftee has three. With 32 first round picks, I would set it at 24. What do you say?

So much for stats. The Ratbirds supposed #1 defense shredded for 240 yards and 21 points in the 4th quarter.

Yes kinda ruined what would have been a nice Week 16 in the AFCN.

I was hoping for a scoreless tie.

I'd take a steelrz loss 2-0 and have to face our BROWNS next week!
