(Browns mainly) Don Carey's Page Besides his pro-Cleveland tweets, I like this one the best: "I was the 177 Pick in the 2009 Draft. 35 DB's went before me. 24 CB's 11 FS/SS. I'm glad I was drafted, but man I got a chip on my shoulder!!" I found Quinn, but he never posts. No other players I've found otherwise. OconRecon Posted May 12, 2009 Report Share Posted May 12, 2009 Well on draft day I was at my grandmothers birthday party, so I signed up for twitter to get as many updates as possible sent to my phone. It can be useful for people who you actually care about as far as what they are doing, for those you could care less about they get annoying. I had to turn off mobile updates for PFT after about a day as they send out a "tweet" about every 20 minutes about something useless like what brand of toilet paper Mark Sanchez prefers. I just signed up to follow Don Carey. Not sure how I can ask him a question unless he elects to follow me. I listen to a tech podcast when I mow the yard. Those geeks say "you have to turn of mobile updates - nobody uses them" for exactly the reason you discovered. To respond to Don Carey, just hover your mouse over the Tweet and click the curved arrow on the right side of the box. Agree Twitter has a teeny-bopper element - a turn off. But if you follow just news feeds and a few people, its pretty good. However, the way I use it, it's not that different than a good RSS feeder like Google Reader. Kinda surreal that I can send a message directly to these players and that unlike the days of "fan mail' via snail mail he'll probably read it. Perhaps I can start a friendship with some of our players, or maybe start stalking them!! Don't let Lumquat have Quinn's tweet, whatever you do.
