My brother passed away a few years ago from cancer and was treated at the VA hospital. I took him there for a number of appointments. Towards the end he was really struggling and we were at the end of a long line at the VA and I will never forget a black vet at the head of the line (who saw how bad off my brother was) called him up and gave him his spot.
