ESPN Bears reporter Jeff Dickerson confirms RapSheet's report and adds that the two sides haven't talked about an extension in weeks, putting Jeffery's chances at re-signing with the Bears at "slim." Tagging Jeffery would cost the Bears around $17.5 million. It would be a lot of dough to commit to Jeffery, who hasn't played a full 16-game season since 2014 and was suspended four games for PEDs last year. Jeffery should land a monster deal on the open market as the top wideout available. The Eagles are fully expected to make a run at him. Any interest???? He would give us a vet wr if the moneys right. If we sign Pryor I think its unlikely we break in any vet receivers as free agents. I'd say we have Pryor / Coleman, the bakers dozen we drafted last year and maybe a possession receiver from the draft if one drops in their laps they love.
