Northeast Ohio rules ESPN airwaves

If you listen to ESPN radio, as I do regularly in the mornings, it seems that companies based...or closely affiliated with Northeast Ohio rule their advertising airwaves. Just this morning I heard ads on the Mike and Mike show for the following companies: (and this was the national network ads, not the local ads that are thrown in):

 

Goodyear, HQed in Akron

Progressive Insurance, HQed in Mayfield

Sherwin Williams, HQed in Cleveland

Quicken Loans.....while not HQed in NEO (Detroit area, I think)...it is most closely associated with Cleveland as a result of the Cavs owner being the principal of Quicken Loans...and the arena being named that.

 

I mean, the only couple of companies that seem ubiquitous everywhere you go in this country that are from NEO, but did not advertise on ESPN were Gojo (Akron) and Smuckers (Orrville) (and with a name like Smuckers, it has to be good).

And, of course, one half of Mike and Mike is from NEO.
