Dutch Oven Posted January 28, 2018 Report Posted January 28, 2018 The Brewers have gone all in with their attempt to wrestle the N.L. Central away from the usual suspects - the Cubs and Cardinals - by trading for OF Christian Yelich and signing free agent OF Lorenzo Cain. Along with Ryan Braun, this leaves them with a crowded OF, and it appears 24 year old Domingo Santana might be the odd man out. The Brewers need starting pitching. Guess who might have starting pitching to spare, and could use a right-handed OF? That's right, our beloved Featherheads of the Cuyahoga! Danny Salazar for Domingo Santana makes a lot of sense. Santana would be the Indians rightfielder for the next four seasons (30 HR, .875 OPS in '17) at an affordable rate. He would also fill the startling void of Santanas now on the roster.
mjp28 Posted January 28, 2018 Report Posted January 28, 2018 I've always kind of thought that the lndians FO thinks that there might be questions about Salazar making him trade bait......just my thoughts on the matter.
The Gipper Posted January 29, 2018 Report Posted January 29, 2018 You never have enough pitching....so I don't know that the Tribe has "starters to spare".
