Netflix- Dirty Money- The Confidence Man

Who's seen this and what did you think?

I highly recommend watching this series. Most episodes are great (I didn't like the Maple Syrup one much), but the best one is the one on Trump.

I really don't understand how delusional/blind people can be with this guy, when you have stories going back 30+ yrs before he was even thinking about politics. NOTE- This story doesn't revolve around politics, it's about his business career and his multiple failures when getting into businesses he wasn't familiar with. (Casinos, airline, Steakhouse, Trump U,  the USFL, Trump Network...he's had many and his track record doesn't bode well for the country).

I've always thought that he's a genius salesman/con artist/self-promoter.... but he's not a business genius. He's an absolute master at telling people what they want to hear, and he knows exactly how to get them riled up.

When you think of what Jimmy Breslin wrote 20-30 years ago.... it's completely on point. "Fred Trump's rules for Donald- Never use your own money. Steal a good idea and say it’s your own. Do anything to get publicity. Remember that everybody can be bought."

Short version. The flim-flam man a.k.a Liar in Chief.

EDIT: Trump University alone should have put him in a matching orange jumpsuit. It was a total fraud.

so you base all of your opinions on a Netflix series. I base mine on results.

Every business I mentioned had poor results. As in bankruptcy. Every episode is very good.

This story is nuts.  He thinks he's done nothing wrong. Yeah you usually don't get 16 years for being a law abiding citizen.  Or get hit with a 1.3 billion suit

I will probably watch some of it , maybe the whole series. Talented directors and producers can certainly put together good quality product regardless of bias or ideology. But if the viewer is predisposed to agree with the opinions of the filmmakers they will probablyy enjoy it.

And whether or not you think it's a negative oh, the large print at the bottom of your original post are most certainly true and just about any situation you could mention.

Seem pretty successful to me.  Just typical left wing cowpoop being spouted.  Deal with it your crooked Hillary lost.  MAGA!

Seems pretty obvious you haven't seen it or read about any of his nonsense and disasters which happened decades before he thought of running for office.

That's what the episode was about. sorry if it doesn't fit in with Trump's tweets.

I didn't like the syrup one, but it was still interesting.

Why is it, that Trump is a bum because of his sordid business past, when he's a GREAT AMERICAN PRESIDENT...

but obMao's sordid college past doesn't matter, when he was a corrupt, sleazy communist oriented sombeitch

arsewhole phoney "president".

why is that?

Inquiring minds would like to know.

"gratingest generation"  Dennis Miller

describes the shrill white noise of hollywood opposition to what was duly elected

and not because of business dealings being  successful or failures -

but because the alternative was BY FAR the worst ever

Trump turns out being far more likeable despite his foibles

and his media savvy that showed how to talk back and win

and ignore the complaining passengers in the back seat

Let's make a long term bet cal (so we can be sure to both live another 20 years LOL!:D). You take the "he goes down as one of our greatest presidents ever" and I take the "he goes down as one of the worst presidents ever". Assessment in 20 years. LOLOLOLOL!

But it's ok if you want to capitulate at any time during that 20 years.:lol:

Meanwhile you owe me a squirrel chili at some future date just because rodent made that way sounds good.:P

Why is it, that Trump is a bum because of his sordid business past, when he's a GREAT AMERICAN PRESIDENT...  Nobody said he's a bum. it said he's mismanaged several huge businesses and lost his butt because of it, but he's always found a way to stay in the limelight and convince investors and banks to keep lending him money. And he's master self-promoter who's been able to find ways to keep his brand growing. If you'd bother watching or reading, you'd know more about how he really makes his money, but you won't.

but obMao's sordid college past doesn't matter, when he was a corrupt, sleazy communist oriented sombeitch  ---  Obama and Hillary have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO with a documentary on Trump's rise and fall and rise in NYC. No matter how much you wish it to be.... one has zero to do with the other.

arsewhole phoney "president". -- Great description of Trump. He will change his mind and story multiple times a day to fit his audience.

why is that? Mainly because as stated above, they have zero to do with the discussion. If they truly are a criminal enterprise I'm sure they'll do a show on that too, but the issue here is these stories are on people that got caught, prosecuted, and/or convicted/made to pay settlements.

Inquiring minds would like to know. You should be inquiring more about how little you actually know about the president vs what you think you know. Funny how every single person that got swindled by him all thought he was a great businessman and developer and strategist too.... every single one of them thinks much differently after he f'd them over

as in, just what I said in so many words -

Trump's sordid past is everything, and obaMao's sordid past is ignored because he's president.

He is doing the right things for America and us. period.

anything else is sour grapes that corrupt dirtbag higgardly didn't win
