TRIBE now +12, W5, Cody Allen now the all time savior, Lindor & Jose now the only Indians with 50+ XBH with 9 games to go before the break.....just more to be spoiled about, I guess.  ;)

I know the talk is the Tribe going after Manny Machado, but apparently he's said that he has no interest going to a team and changing positions. He isn't moving Lindor from short obviously.

The Tribe need a starting caliber OF, because the platoons in center and right are luckluster at best. Thank dog Brantley has been healthy.

Machado? Maybe the worst forced fit ever and not cheap......no.

Biggest needs now maybe get ready if the best BP guy in the business A. Miller doesn't make it back -and- that snake-bit OF......wasn't Zimmer the missing link?

This Bullpen sucks swamp water.

A. Miller is still potentially the best closer or set up guy in MLB, without him, eh.

They also miss Zimmer's glove, speed, bat in the lower half of the order,

GO TRIBE, give 'em hell......after the All Star break.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Michael Brantley's muscle and Jose Ramirez's hustle proved to be the difference for the Cleveland Indians on Sunday as the Tribe earned a series split against the visiting New York Yankees with a 5-2 win at Progressive Field.

Brantley delivered the go-ahead home run off Yankees reliever Chad Green leading off the bottom of the eighth with the score tied at 2, and Ramirez manufactured an insurance run when he singled, stole second and advanced to third on a throwing error. He later scored on Yan Gomes' sacrifice fly to right.

Yankees right fielder Giancarlo Stanton made a strong throw to the plate, but Ramirez beat catcher Kyle Higashioka's tag with a head-first slide. Pinch runner Erik Gonzalez trotted home on a wild pitch by Green for a three-run advantage........

What it means

The Indians reach the All-Star break with a 52-43 record, including a 4-6 mark in their last 10, and an eight-game lead in the American League Central with the Twins' game against Tampa Bay still outstanding. Last year, the Tribe led the Central by 2 1/2 games at the break.......

Andrew Miller is on schedule to make a rehab appearance Tuesday in Columbus to test his sore right knee, Cleveland Indians manager Terry Francona said.

Miller, on the disabled list since May 26 with a sore right knee, could split time between Columbus and Akron during his rehab, depending on which team is at home on a given day........ cleveland.com......

The second half of the Indians schedule is Charmin soft.

Just need to get everyone healthy. In theory, a bullpen of Allen, Miller and Hand should be lethal... if everyone is healthy.
