Heinz gives up Pittsburgh stadium sponsorship

As I understand it, the Heinz company is about to give up its naming rights to the Steeler stadium.

However, fans of that team should not worry....another company has stepped forward to fill in the void.

That company is:   TOTO,    you know, the company whose name you see about every time you step into a public restroom, but along with this stadium naming sponsorship deal, TOTO insisted on a certain unique condition, which is evident here:

The H.J. Heinz Co. plans to keep its name on the football field on the North Shore that the Pittsburgh Steelers call home, even as a planned merger with the Kraft Foods Group could turn the business into the new Kraft Heinz Co.

A spokesman for Heinz told reporters on a conference call this morning that he’d had a conversation with the NFL team today.

“It’ll remain Heinz Field,” said Michael Mullen, senior vice president of corporate and government affairs.

The Steelers sold the naming rights for the football stadium in 2001 to the Heinz Co. for $57 million over 30 years.......
