My Wifie used to ask her students, about the free stuff they said they get from the gov. She explained that those weren't really "free" - the gov runs on taxes paid by Americans who work and pay taxes. The programs and free stuff like obamaophones were bought/paid for by working Americans. Several students were stunned and didn't know that. Honestly - it's a problem in a lot of big cities.
