Uh oh

OH that's just minor annoyance. The Andromeda Galaxy, which is far bigger than our Milky Way, has a collision with us coming in about 4 billion years. But fortunately we may still have a front row seat since our sun becomes an engulfing red giant in about 5 billion years. Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh my.

Here is an excellent presentation of the Milky Way well worth taking the time to watch in just under half an hour. Done Oct. 2018. The satellite GAIA data is spotlighted. Watch her turn on the future. Oh OH!!🧐😱 It's at the 11:00 mark if you don't want to watch the whole thing.🤩 We only get 1.2 million years to get ready! (cue up the Jaws music).

Well, good thing we have scholars like Ken Ham down at the Creation Museum to give us the real answers on this whole galaxy issue, and not some bullsh.it "astrophysics":

Answer:

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork (PSALM 19:1).

Brendon, what a question! Yes, we know from the dates God gives us in the Bible that He did create the whole universe about 6,000 years ago. When we hear the term light-year, we need to realize it is not a measure of time but a measure of distance, telling us how far away something is. Distant stars and galaxies might be millions of light-years away, but that doesn’t mean that it took millions of years for the light to get here, it just means it is really far away!

When God created the universe, everything was already working perfectly, exactly how He wanted it to work. So, I believe the stars could be seen (however God did that) on earth as soon as God spoke them into existence. Keep enjoying the splendor of the night sky, but remember that God created it to display His glory so we could behold how wonderful and powerful our Creator really is!

Some things aren't worth arguing about. This is one of them. It seems to me science would definitely be on the side of the universe being in existence for a long time and not 6,000 years. I think when it comes to time God sees things very differently than we do. The bible even says that one day with God is like a thousand years. That doesn't mean one day is a thousand years it means that our view of time is not the same. The bible is correct when it stated thousands of years ago that the universe had a beginning. That in itself is a revelation to us from God as for centuries the brightest among us believed the universe was eternal. No, it had a beginning as the bible states.

What really matters is that Christ came and died for us on the cross for our sins and when He rose from death he went to create a place for all those who put their faith and trust in Him. He came to bring life to a world of death. He is the way, the truth and the life.
