obamao was letting the whole world fall apart, and divided our country, raised socialism/tyranny movement to the forefront and

liberal msm.

Trump is better at encouraging problems to be solved. That takes serious LEADERSHIP. Liberals will have to go look up the word.

Maduro did not allow any real opposition to run against him in his self-election. All my Venezuelan friends are hopeful for the first time in years that something may finally change for the better. But of course most of them have taken asylum in Europe, here and a few in other S.American countries. The problem is the corrupt military elite support Maduro naturally enough, so the chances are slim of any real change soon. It would take their troops instigating a military and governmental coup.

I have a navy blue T-shirt with a Venezuelan flag with the words "Estamos Contigo" printed across the flag. It occasionally gets recognized here.

the socialist failure and oppression by a corrupt soviet/china backed regime has been going on..

and has reached a complete breakdown of gov and society.

Surely most of the military will abandon maduro.

Omar is one ex-venzuelan to speak out, and that was back in 2017:

Guaido recognized a interim president of Venezuela by Britain, France, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Denmark, Austria and Germany. Maduro missed their deadline of yesterday to commit to free and fair elections because he knew he would lose to the opposition leaders.

If we put our military into Venezuela I wonder the mental gymnastics people here will conjure up justifying our meddling yet again in other countries affairs. Cause if the continued presence of Isis doesn't warrant our military's attention in Syria...which I kind of agree with, im sick of our military being in the ME period......we certainly have no business getting involved in South America's affairs "yet again".

How much oil does Venezuela have? This becomes important in terms of intervention.

They have oil but its a very poor quality. It needs alot of refinement. The u.s right "i beleive" produces some of the highest quality crude on the planet...the problem is global refuneries are setup fir the shiite stuff at this time.

Exxon-Mobil hit the motherlode off the coast of next door neighbor Guyana. Production will begin late this year or early 2020. Trump is too ignorant to have figured this in as a key factor to enable a boycott of Maduro's Venezuelan oil, but it is a key factor nonetheless.
