Dutch Oven Posted February 3, 2019 Report Share Posted February 3, 2019 Since the Browns won't be playing in yet another Super Bowl, let's go back and watch what was (basically) the first Super Bowl, when the upstart Cleveland Browns played the two-time defending NFL champion Philadelphia Eagles in front of 85,000 fans at Philadelphia's Municipal Stadium. The NFL Commissioner cleverly scheduled the Browns - who won all four AAFC titles - against the Eagles on the season opening week of 1950. Then Bert Belfont that his Eagles are going to teach the upstart league champions a lesson.
