But he didn't convert a swamp into a sewer, just maintained the swamp while slowly recovering from what looked like the second great depression at that time. I think people have forgotten what happened to the stock market in late 2008-early 2009 that required draconian measures to stop the crash. Obama inherited a mess but the almost 1 trillion dollar stimulus bill had huge amounts of waste that funded every non shovel ready job the dems could dream of.
