OldBrownsFan
Ohio Town Forced To Drop Christian Roots From Town Seal https://www1.cbn.com/cbnnews/us/2016/november/ohio-town-forced-to-drop-christian-roots-from-town-seal All this depends on getting the "right" judge. In the case above another judge rules the polar opposite. In this case the town had to replace it's seal simply for having a church on the seal. This is why the left will file multiple lawsuits in different jurisdictions to get the rulings they want by getting the "right" judge. This is why the left will file multiple lawsuits in different jurisdictions to get the rulings they want by getting the "right" judge. From the article: "The town of Archbold, Ohio was forced to publicly abandon their Christian roots this week after they were asked to remove a town seal that included the image of a church building. The town seal displayed a Christian church at the center of the town, surrounded by buildings, street signs and other documents. It has now been removed from various buildings, signs and documents. The Freedom From Religion Foundation says the town violated the so-called separation of church and state through their seal and motto. The town has also stopped calling itself a "Christian community" on its website. The town website now features the text, "Live Archbold!" superimposed on the state of Ohio, and the new motto calls the town "A Community of Character!" Therein lies the distinction. The town in the original article DH posted were just using the cross as part of their founding while not proclaiming to be religious today; the town in your article expressly called themselves a "christian community", so the church symbol has much more religious-specific connotations behind it. So if they no longer call themselves a Christian community then the old seal with the church is is now OK...maybe they should appeal the case.
