But in the unlikely event I hazard upon a mother black bear with cubs to protect, I still carry a deep penetration round in my 9mm Ruger. I would rather carry my .357 mag Ruger Blackhawk, but the rules are pretty clear I have to abide by state law. And unlike Texas Colorado does not have open carry, only concealed carry. Very hard to conceal a western style revolver. Oh, for the good ole days of western holsters (which I have for areas outside the park since state rangers never give you a hard time about it-especially some old fart wandering around🧓).
