Guest mz.
Update: NFL not likely to review case against Lions' Dennis Northcutt by Tom Kowalski Tuesday July 14, 2009, 2:27 PM Detroit Lions receiver Dennis Northcutt, who is involved in a lawsuit involving an ex-girlfriend, probably won't face any disciplinary measures from the National Football League. Northcutt, a veteran receiver, was recently traded to Detroit in exchange for safety Gerald Alexander. According to NFL spokesman Greg Aiello, "Civil cases generally are not reviewed under the conduct policy.'' Northcutt is expected to win the battle over Ronald Curry for the starting slot receiver position in the Lions offense. Sharri Henry alleged that Northcutt arranged for his cousin to "hit her in the face and disfigure her" at a Hollywood nightclub last May. She was four months pregnant at the time. Northcutt claims she is simply extorting him. Part of the lawsuit was thrown out, but NFL spokesman Greg Ailleo said "We're looking into it." via here and here. HowieDawg
I thought Northcutt said in an interview when he left the Browns that he had never had a girlfriend. Maybe he slipped on a bar of soap and landed on a woman.
