Honestly I haven't been participating in the board much this week because it makes me sad. Ghoolie would be proud of you guys ... half of you anyway. But you are getting Scarlett Johansson anyway, so deal with it: Listen, we are all frustrated with the turnovers and penalties, but where did you realistically predict this team to be at the end of the year? Seems like most were thinking 9-7 or maybe 10-6. Well, that's still on the table, so why you freaking? Put aside the Tits game for now, because that game was a microcosm of everything we have done wrong this year, against a team we should have beat, and at home. But the Titans have had three consecutive winning seasons and are 4-4 ... we haven't had a winning season in 12 years ... so quit your crying about that game, anyways. The other team we "should have beat", the Jets, we did beat. Here is the rest of the schedule and their current NFL power ranking according to NFL.com: Rams #12 Ravens #10 Niners #2 Seahawks #6 Patriots #1 Those are all projected playoff teams this year, all but one playoff team last year, the two Super Bowl teams from last year, and the two top ranked teams this year. So if you had us 10-6 or 9-7, the fact that we lost 4 of 5 of those games shouldn't have you losing your shit. All those games, except the Pats, were with our two top corners injured as well. We lost our starting TE too, which people seem to forget. I'm not happy with the discipline and turnovers so far. I'm not happy that we had all offseason and haven't come up with better than Justin McCray as our left tackle. But I look at the rest of our roster and I feel sorry for the nine limpdick teams we are about to bitchslap. We KNOW Baker can play better. Personally, I am 100% sure he WILL. We have great wide receivers. Nick Chubb is a fucking stud. Myles Garrett is a fucking stud. We lost our starting outside backer too, but Wilson is getting better every week. I think our defense is starting to show signs that it is going to light it up down the stretch. This is a talented football team. So we weren't ready to start the season against quality teams that have already made their way to the top. So our party was delayed seven games ... it's still coming. The idea of a coaching change right now makes me feel sick to my stomach. There's little doubt in my mind that Freddy is in over his head, but I want to believe he'll get better. Just wish it wasn't so painful of a process! Scarlett's tits have been and shall remain a national treasure. Yes, losing has been frustrating for us fans, and yes, I'm as vocal as anyone. That being said, it's not necessarily the losing that bothers me, it's how...if that makes sense. Turnovers and penalties make for such a frustrating and unsatisfying contest. Feels like you never give yourself a true chance, and that stinks. Furthermore, they're not that easy to STOP. What does the coach do, tell people not to fumble? Don't throw it to the other team? Obviously our players know this stuff, it's just a matter of executing correctly. The GOOD news is we've seen the majority of our current players execute better just last year. I doubt they lost that ability. I also hate to keep harping on it, but we've had some pretty crap LUCK. Even last week, some of the turnovers were just...just...UGH. We didn't recover either of the painful fumbles, and that DL somehow snagged that shovel pass. It's time for the pendulum of luck to swing our way, and I wouldn't be surprised to see a ball float our way off a deflection or a fumble bounce directly to us. I mean, take the blocked FG we had. If that ball bounces upwards to one of our guys, it's a freakin touchdown for us, but that's the kind of stuff not happening for our squad. I think our team is frustrated and angry. My preseason prediction was 10-6 and they may still be on track for that. My problem is the poor coaching displayed by the team: penalties, turnovers and Baker's regression. These are a recipe to lose to even bad teams , which is why fans may be losing their sh*t despite entering the "easier" part of the schedule. Irish Sweepstakes, in full Irish Hospitals’ Sweepstakes, one of the largest lotteries promoted internationally; it was authorized by the Irish government in 1930 to benefit Irish hospitals. A private trust was formed to run the lottery and market tickets throughout the world. During the 57 years of its existence, the contest derived more revenue from the United States than from any other country, although all the tickets sold there were smuggled in and sold illegally. There was much counterfeiting of tickets, seldom detectable because the purchaser had no further interest in the ticket if it was not a winning ticket. Ticket stubs were returned to Ireland to be drawn from a barrel and matched with the name of a horse running in a major Irish or British race. The largest prizes went to ticket holders whose horses won, placed, or showed. A state lottery replaced the Irish Sweepstakes in 1987.
