What is in the best interest of the nation comes below that. They want to disarm citizens because they don't want citizens to have power. They have to know that all their gun control measures will not stop criminals nor crime but only affect the gun rights of law abiding citizens. The correct way to fight gun crime is to go after the criminals using guns such as enhancing criminal penalties when a gun is used and stiffer penalties for those breaking current gun laws.
