To everything churn churn churn,  there is a season churn churn churn

A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep

Cleveland Browns Signed K Matthew McCrane and DE Jalen Jelks to the practice squad. Released DT Tanzel Smart from the practice squad.

...to expand on Gumby's post.

We now have a kicker to replace Parkey when he screws up royally.

RB Dontrell Hilliard back to the active roster, LB/S Montreal Meander back to the practice squad. Perhaps we'll see Hilliard returning kickoffs?

Protecting PS players has a post gameday loophole

The Cowboys signed OT Greg Senat from the Browns practice squad.  (straight to dallas's 53 man)

Down to 4 active WR's with 3 on PS... i wondered why Hodge never played Sunday? Hammy went in warm-ups
Browns placed KhaDarel Hodge on injured reserve with a hamstring injury...likely 3 games

Unless it's changed you've always been able to sign away another team's PS player(s).

Catch has always been that the player must go on the 53-man roster of the team signing the player away.

Oh!!  lots has changed on the the PS rules.. google it up..10 to 16 & 4 squad members protected.(fail is directly after a game apparently?). Senat has been labeled as protected since we signed him.. bottom of my list of to do's, so I've got Icecubes best sources looking into this roster robbery;)..

The kid's an athlete...

I wonder if he'll get work at Safety... has the size and speed for it... good agility to boot.

Ward & Mitchell can no doubt play.. That covers D'quick Johnson in the slot & maybe JuJU?.. The NFL mismatch is Claypool..he's six four, runs like a 238 lb deer, than verts over 40 inches...

We have MJ Steward/KJ? and Harrison? whom neither may not play over six foot & this Robert Jackson bring-up, maybe because Harry won't play.. Be scared..Be very scared 🦁.. 🤓...

Browns elevate S Elijah Benton to active roster

Cleveland adds depth at safety for Sunday's game at Pittsburgh

https://www.clevelandbrowns.com/news/browns-elevate-s-elijah-benton-to-active-roster

Benton is a 6-1, 205-pound rookie out of Liberty. Originally signed by the Browns as an undrafted free agent, Benton has spent the firstfive weeks of the season on the team's practice squad. The Forest, Va., native will wear No. 48.

New this season, a club can carry up to 55 players on its roster during a given week by elevating one or two players from its practice squad. The rule allows teams a larger pool from which to select their 47 or 48 game-day active players. Any player elevated from the practice squad for this purpose will immediately revert to his team's practice squad the day following the game.

We made a move a week ago...

The Cleveland Browns have signed T Alex Taylor to the club's practice squad. The team also released DE Jalen Jelks from their practice squad.

Taylor (6-8, 301) is a rookie out of South Carolina State, who originally signed to the Browns as an undrafted free agent this offseason and was waived from injured reserved during Week 2. He started all 11 games as a senior at South Carolina State in 2019 and earned All-MEAC honors twice. Taylor is a native of Moncks Corner, S.C.

The corresponding move now fills the Browns 16 practice squad openings.

Taylor is the raw, athletic, small-school OT that caught attention at the Combine.

I guess because Hodge is hurt.

I Maybe they should put Njoku on the outside as a WR....and see what he can do.

https://lionswire.usatoday.com/2020/12/07/lions-wr-marvin-hall-claimed-off-waivers-by-the-cleveland-browns/

Marvin Hall claimed off waivers by the Cleveland Browns

The Lions opted to go in a different direction at wide receiver, dumping Hall with five games left on his expiring contract. He was the fastest wideout on the Lions but offered little more than a vertical threat as a route runner. His body-catching style, ineffective blocking and lack of special teams usage hurt his cause to stay in Detroit.

Cleveland has had some injury issues at wide receiver and can use Hall’s field-stretching ability. They relied on practice squad call-up Ja’Marcus Bradley to play as the No. 4 receiver in their win over the Titans on Sunday

Marvin Hall Highlights! Welcome To CLEVELAND!!

The the above refugee from the Lions may see the field Monday nite. I wonder if he can handle punts?
