The Gipper
The Browns last won a Championship in 1964. There have been 9 "Major League" teams who have gone longer than the Browns have since winning a title...or in a few cases, since coming into existence. A few hints/caveats regarding this question: A. Keep in mind that the franchise has had to be in existence since before 1964, so teams created after that date do not count. B. They are all NFL/NBA/MLB teams. No NHL teams, so don't worry about those. C. The fact is, most of the franchises that are part of the answer to this question have moved around since winning their last title, or since being formed, so keep that in mind also. Name these 9 teams. Answers: 1. NFL Cardinals currently in Arizona.....last title won in Chicago 1947 2. Cleveland Indians.....1948 3. NBA Kings/Royals currently in Sacramento....last title won in Rochester 1951 4. Detroit Lions.....1957 5. Atlanta Hawks....last title won in St. Louis 1957 6. Texas Rangers....no titles since beginning as Washington Senators in 1961 7. Minnesota Vikings....no titles since origin in 1961 8. Tennessee Titans....last title as AFL champions as Houston Oilers in 1961 9. Chargers.... last title as AFL champions as San Diego Chargers in 1963. Then comes the Browns last title 1964; Buffalo Bills, last title in AFL in 1965. In 1964 there were only 6 NHL teams, all 6 of those have won titles since 1964, though the Toronto Maple Leafs last title was in like 1966 or 1967. Free to merge. Thank you. The Gipper
Here is today's trivia question. There are 32 franchises in the NFL. Of those 32, 10 of them have at sometime moved to a completely different city/region/market area. Note: I am helping you here: NEITHER the Cleveland Browns nor the Baltimore Ravens are a part of that. The Browns franchise has NEVER moved. So, you only have to pick the 10 out of the 30 other franchises. Name as many of those 10 teams as you can.

Mike Chiefs and Titans, yes. Not Pats, not Texans. Pats have stayed basically in Boston area, even if they moved out of Boston proper, so that is not considered a move to a new town. And Texans were the Houston replacement for the Oilers, and they have not moved anywhere.

Answers: Raiders have moved from Oakland, to LA, back to Oakland, now to Las Vegas Chargers have moved from LA where they originated to San Diego and now back to LA Rams moved from Cleveland to LA to St. Louis and now back to LA Cardinals have moved from Chicago to St. Louis to Arizona Chiefs moved from Dallas...where they were known as The Texans, to Kansas City Bears moved from Decatur (Staleys) to Chicago (not the same market as Decatur is @ 200 miles from Chicago Colts moved from Baltimore to Indianapolis Lions moved from Portsmouth OH where they were known as the Spartans to Detroit Titans move from Houston ...as the Oilers, to Tennessee (actually played in Memphis for a year before moving on to Nashville) Redskins originally from Boston, move to Washington DC That means that 22 franchises have never move from their original markets (except perhaps temporarily because of some weather issue...like the Saints after Katrina....or because of stadium construction.) ...though yes, some have moved from like "downtown" to suburban areas in the same metro area: Cowboys, Patriots, Jets/Giants, 49ers, and some others. Similarly the New England Patriots are closer to downtown Providence than they are to downtown Boston...but..they are still in the Boston area, and they at least changed their name. Maybe you would prefer the Texas Cowboys....like the Texas Rangers.
