The Supreme Court ruled Monday that the key federal law prohibiting discrimination in the workplace protects gay, lesbian or transgender employees from being disciplined, fired or turned down for a job based on their sexual orientation.

Two of the court’s Republican appointees, Neil Gorsuch and John Roberts, joined the court’s Democratic appointees to deliver the surprising, 6-3 victory to LGBT advocates.

I wish a few of the "liberal" justices would side with the conservatives once in a while.  In this case, I think it a good decision.

All 50 states (with the exception of Montana) are currently at will employment states so this means next to nothing.

" The term at-will employment is a legal term used in the United States. This term means that an employer can terminate an employee for any reason without warning. However, an employer can not fire an employee if the reason for doing so is illegal, such as firing someone because of their gender, race, or religion. "
