How good is Hamza?

Hamza Abdullah? From some reports and pictures coming out of camp I've been seeing his name pop up, maybe coincidentally. Just trying to get an idea of how deep our secondary is, so for those who have been to camp is Abdullah just another helmet or has he been making some noise? Seems like a darkhorse to make a positive impact. Entering 5th year in league. Young with size... 6'2, 215lbs

Browsing this training camp gallery he's getting recognition almost daily- http://www.clevelandbrowns.com/multimedia/gallery.php

In 2007

Abdullah started the last 8 games for Denver, assuming the starting strong safety position for the last half of the season, and finished with a career-high 48 tackles (40 solo), one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and seven passes defensed. Also assisted on one special-teams tackle. Did not record any stats vs. Oak. (9/16) before leaving with a hip injury that forced him to be inactive for the next five weeks. Returned to action and played extensively at Det. (11/4), leading the secondary with seven tackles (5 solo). Made nine solo tackles and broke up two passes, including one intercepted by Karl Paymah, in his first career start at K.C. (11/11). Led the secondary with eight tackles (6 solo) on Monday Night Football vs. Ten. (11/19). Led the secondary with seven solo tackles and had one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one pass breakup at Chi. (11/25).

From TheOBR:

- Quietly, safety Hamza Abdullah is having a solid camp. A relative unknown heading into the off-season, the staff likes his makeup, size and ability to absorb and utilize information on the practice field. While Abdullah will not unseat starters Abe Elam and Brodney Pool, the opportunity to fill a depth role at the position and on special teams is an increasing possibility.

Link (I suspect the entire article will soon disappear behind the pay wall) It just did.
