Some commentary on the above:

I don't know why for some reason the "Super Hero" major players are not on here.  The article gives no clue as to why the likes  of the Superman/Batman/DC  comics.....or the Marvel/Avengers/X-Men  franchises are not included.  It is a fatal flaw in the rankings  in my opinion. After all, a lot of the above have been represented in some form of  TV/Movie/Book form. And certainly DC and Marvel  have all that going for them.   I don't know if comic book originated products are anathema to whomever put this together. Other "Rankings" do include DC and Marvel.

And, if they are going to have Godzilla,  why not King Kong?

What would you leave out,  and put in its place?

Other candidates  I think have to be something that was more than just a single movie or a single TV show....though I don't think that applies above:  Babylon 5...which I would not have included was just a single TV show.

I also think they missed on one which is considered a Top Sci-Fi franchise:  Dune

and #1 will be The Foundation written by Isaac Asimov which is now on apple tv

also with out the foundation there would not be hitchhikers guide to the galexy or star wars
