calfoxwc
Chance of Playoffs are officially over for the Browns , so this is an exercise of guessing and assumptions. Main assumption - is that Baker comes back from surgery and rehab stronger than ever. So, let's roll, because I've finished making my wild blackberry jam - I had picked 14 lbs and froze them for later. Put em through a deseeder - the best jam on the planet. So, everybody with a lot of sense knows that the Browns must have a star #1 wr to get this offense working. It's a nice draft for wr's, but more than a few will go in the first round. 1. FIRST ROUND - Demarvin Leal, DL, 6'4", 290 lbs of extremely powerful and athletic force that can play anywhere on the line. He is an elite DL. He would dominate. Of course, I fell to the floor in shock - surely they would draft Wilson or ..... 2. SECOND ROUND - Jalen Tolbert, WR, S. Alabama, 6'3", 190 lbs, of explosion, great catches, blazing fast, and tough. Have to seriously upgrade the wr corps with a future star. NOTE - look for the Browns to also sign a big name WR FA. Just sayin what I think. 3. THIRD ROUND - Darian Kinnard, OT, U. of Kentucky, 6'5", 345 lbs of mean kickass blocking. Is agile for a big man, and has really high upside. All he needs is some coaching - and he will have the best Oline coach in the NFL. And yes, he really will be a tackle. 4. FOURTH ROUND (two picks) This is where it gets fun. A healthy? Baker will be the starting qb. Last year he was great. But Keenum will probably retire... he went undrafted back in 2012. He may stay on as an assistant coach maybe. anyways.... the pick is: a. Dustin Crum, QB, Kent State, 6’3”, 210. Stong armed passer, can run well, can sit behind Baker and learn the pro game for a few years. Has a ton of upside – not ready for prime time in the NFL right away …he will work his way up from third string - Mullens will back up Baker for a while.... Aaron Rodgers learned behind Favre for a few years, so.... (btw, Favre grew up in Gulfport, Mississippi - very near Biloxi and Keesler AFB. I would hitch a ride to Gulfport, within bike ride distance, and take a prop job along the windy coast to New Orleans, to fly back to Ohio) b. Chad Muma, LB, Wyoming, 6'3", 242. A real lb - Tough, mean hitter, great tackler, good against the run and fast enough to cover TE's over the middle. He can play. 5. FIFTH ROUND - Jordan Stout, Punter/Kicker. Senior - the second rated punter - first rated still working on accuracy and is only a jr. Can make a 58 yard field goal. Does both.Penn State - 6'3", 209. Look, our kicker situation is embarrassing. ************************************************************************** meanwhile, if Leal is gone already - the Browns will......trade down. There are terrific wide receivers in this draft. Having said that, the Browns could trade down a bit, and still get a star wr - Treylon Burks - depending on how he runs drills at the combine. THEN - it would be Burks in the first round, Perrion Winfrey in the second, ************************************** Well, I already told ya'll it was a stupid mock draft, but it is what it is. Way too early, about 4 months before the combine. But you heard it here first.
TexasAg1969
Bring it back up after the combine and again after the draft. Leal just might be BPA when the Browns' pick comes up. Ya never know. One a side note, do we just go ahead and lose this non-game today for a better draft slot?
gumby73
Cal.... I like one position pick where slotted... 5. FIFTH ROUND - Jordan Stout, Punter/Kicker. With more games in a season - they specialize. But, this punter would be able to kick field goals if needed. You know , covid...injury. And Chase misses here and there, not good on longer kicks. But, my kicker pick was the best one.

No, no, no ! Chase McLau-whom-ever Sucks! He can't hit home runs out of the end-zone neither on kickoffs when needed... I'm promoting you to Special Teams college scout...soon as this Nappy State Lion wears a orange helmet 🤓 Now? Who do we have that can cover a onside kick? CLean-ly! We SuCk at this too ! even my 6 yo grandson wanted to start tossing dudes off that pile
Furious Styles
Not stupid at all. You’re correct about Chad Muma. He can play but I seriously doubt if he’s around 4th-5th long .

The piling on was stupid, and the extended time of tussling was worse. Reminded me of rugby....that is two times in a row our special teams coach should be seriously upset. The butt bounce the last time wins the blooper prize. Don't they practice this stuff? Is that the "best hands" they have out there?

York went 15-of-18 in field goals, broke a Tiger Stadium record with 56-yarder and went 39-of-39 on extra points. He was named to the All-SEC second team.

calfoxwc
Interesting article - the writer lists PFF's 4 round mock draft, and who HE picks in each round. He agrees with Wilson at 13. I do too, but I fear he won't be there, like Ja'Mall Chase went #7 overall. We'll see. I was surprised to see the writer pick my second round pick instead of PFF's pick - Jalen Tolbert. Yes, the author picked two wr's in a row. lol. I think Tolbert would be a first round pick for certain if he had gone to a big school. https://www.yahoo.com/now/browns-mock-draft-watch-pro-134144429.html

Well, I drafted Crum out of Kent State probably a round or two early. But no qb this year - I'm not impressed except for Pickett, he'll be gone. I think they should sign another qb in FA though.
