calfoxwc
We just got a chance to record it, and watch it later. "Buffalo Soldiers". not for kids- violent. About an excellent black regiment of union soldiers fighting indians. Sadly, it involves blatant racism - to the point of sending the black regiment into serious danger again and again. It's one of those movies where you forget that the actors are acting. Danny Glover, in particular, was excellent. Overall, the acting was amazing - again - you get involved with the story and forget about acting, etc. and, and it's a fact-based story. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118790/ Storyline Fact based story about the all-black US Cavalry Troop H which protected the Western territories in post Civil War times. The story focuses on the troops attempts to capture an Apache warrior named Victorio who slaughters the settlers in New Mexico. The film examines the racial tensions that existed between the black soldiers and some of the white soldiers and the truths about the Indian invaders. —John Sacksteder <jsackste@bellsouth.net>
