Steve, you were wrong. That's it.

What you said in your original post was wrong, I provided a poll proving it wrong, and you provided a poll talking about something different that doesn't prove your original point correct.

I'm not sure why you aren't following along.

I mean, it's cuz you're typical Steve-ing the hell out of this, with a plan to continue to respond with nonsense, avoiding the point laid out above, until I eventually stop wasting my time and you can claim victory ... but still. Damn. Sad.

No, General Woodpecker  I claim victory because I posted an article three or four months more recent than yours that proves that public support for your little war is waning.

Last attempt here Steve, your first post didn't say "support is waning". It didn't say "people want to spend less on it". It didn't say any of that. It said "most Americans want to get the hell out". That's not true. You haven't provided any proof otherwise.

Are you following along at all yet? Or still just typical Steve-ing?

Okay I see where you were going. Yes probably overreach to say that they wanted to get the fuck out. Even though they should. But it's clear they don't want to up the ante like you and your boy.

My apologies.

CNN Poll: Majority of Americans oppose more US aid for Ukraine in war with Russia

CNN Poll: Majority of Americans oppose more US aid for Ukraine in war with Russia | CNN Politics

Overall, 55% say the US Congress should not authorize additional funding to support Ukraine vs. 45% who say Congress should authorize such funding. And 51% say that the US has already done enough to help Ukraine while 48% say it should do more. A poll conducted in the early days of the Russian invasion in late February 2022 found 62% who felt the US should have been doing more.

That's true but what I said was they wanted to get the fuck out. Not just stop any further involvement.

The same people who don't want to help the Ukraine, are often the same people who want billions of dollars to fund

free welfare for illegals (buying millions of votes in the near future)

“65% say they always or often feel exhausted when thinking about politics”

On the matter of the article in the OP, there’s an overload of information in political based media. And plenty of outrage porn. I sorta suspect that some of it leads to a sense of helplessness.

When you get right down to it, our role in the government, if we choose to participate in it, is to either participate by voting, joining it, or overthrowing it.

Overthrowing the government or running for office sounds like a lotta work, and l think it’s safe to say a lot of us aren’t doing that, but we still got voting. Which is cool, but we can only vote for certain people.

l’ve been hearing about John Fetterman lately. He’s a senator from Pennsylvania. I don’t live there and cannot vote for him. I have little use for information about John Fetterman.

But the media is full of these political figure villain types, most of whom l can’t vote for. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Hunter Biden’s laptop, etc.

I get the desire to “stay informed”, a reasoning l’ve heard before for keeping up on politics, but for me l have to filter that information based on who or what l can vote for, and l’m happy to have a peripheral awareness of the rest.
