Biden Foreign Policy - An Unenviable Balancing Act

Biden has 4 priorities when it comes to our relationship with Israel during this conflict

  1. The lives of Americans in Gaza, whether they be living/visiting there or taken hostage by Hamas.
  2. The lives of Gazans - If he does not prioritize this, then the west will be welcoming lots of Gazan refugees.
  3. The threat of a broader war. This is bad for the points above as well as bad for the global economy.
  4. The threat to American interests in the region. (e.g. - US bases in Iraq/Syria).

I need to give credit to the administration for encouraging the delay of an IDF ground invasion. However, with the Eisenhower carrier group has entered the Mediterranean and looks to be planning to join up with the Ford carrier group, and it remains to be seen if Biden will continue to discourage Israel from pressing too hard.

The presence of the carriers in and of itself is seen by the Islamic world as a provocation. I predict that the conflict will broaden if Israel is allowed a full-scale invasion under the umbrella of two US carrier groups.

Iran's IRGC cannot press too hard on Israel, without risking the US carrier groups stepping in and bombing the hell out of them. Likewise, the US military is learning lessons on the fly. When Iran retaliated after Trump ordered General Soleimani killed (after he fucked with our embassy in Iraq), IRGC demonstrated use of precision, long range cruise missiles to hit American/Saudi assets without causing any loss of life. This is an area of concern if you happen to be serving on a US Navy vessel in the area at the moment. This week, the USS Carney patrolled the Red Sea and reportedly shot down 19 drones and 4 cruise missiles coming from Yemen, en route to Israel. This type of engagement may have been enough to exhaust its ammunition per Dr. Sal Mercogliano's analysis - https://www.usni.org/people/salvatore-r-mercogliano. If you want to learn a ton, I'd recommend checking out his twitter. Long story short, the carrier groups don't look quite as invincible as they used to with advent of cheap, mass-produced drones and cruise missiles.

If Iran were to get directly involved with Israel, there is a considerable possibility that the carrier groups will engage them. This is not an ideal scenario for the IRGC. Therefore, they've increased activity of their proxies to hit US assets in Iraq/Syria in order to prevent the carrier group from focusing all their firepower on Israel/Gaza.

So, what's Biden to do? What is the winning move here?

Not saying I believe this, but why leave refugees? Why not level the place?

We dropped 2 nukes on Japan, and as horrific a deed that was, it served it's purpose.

Why not carpet bomb the place into oblivion and not only settle the land dispute but put an end to Hamas in that region.

That kind of force will show the one thing those people understand, strength.

We will always have enemies from Islam and that region for one reason or another. In truth, they need no reason other than we practice different religions.

At the same time we have to clear out all the illegals living here and deport people who promote communism our country.

The world is watching, and it's not the people crying about war atrocities we need to worry about. It's North Korea, China and Russia.

It's going to be bad enough if Ukraine falls, we can't afford to keep appearing weak. The pull out from Afghanistan doesn't help, neither does having a country torn and divided being run by woke military leaders and a senile President.

Isn't Iran dependent on Russia? They're a little preoccupied right now so they won't receive the usual support from them. I assume we already have bombs pointed at all strategic offenses within Iran.

Just throwing some things out there if we go all in for another perspective.
