It appears the Cincinnati Bengals will have prized rookie linebacker Rey Maualuga in the starting lineup for Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns.

Maualuga returned to practice Thursday, Oct. 1, after missing Wednesday due to a sprained knee sustained in the Pittsburgh game. Maualuga was carted off late in the third quarter with a knee injury but later returned. He finished the game with six tackles, including a stop of Willie Parker for a 2-yard loss.

Cincinnati leads the all-time series between the teams, 36-35. Can the Browns even things up when the teams meet on Sunday in Cleveland?

Following are five questions about the game.

What is Browns quarterback Derek Anderson most likely to do against the improved Bengals pass rush and secondary?

* 20 of 32, 310 yards, three touchdowns, no interceptions

* 17 of 30, 225 yards, two touchdowns, one interception

* 14 of 30, 175 yards, one touchdown, two interceptions

* 13 of 28, 140 yards, no touchdowns, two interceptions

* 14 of 33, 155 yards, no touchdowns, three interceptions

What is of most concern to the Browns defense?

* The downfield passing of Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer to Chad Ochocinco.

* The abilities of Bengals running back Cedric Benson to get tough inside yardage or break long runs.

* The Browns' poor tackling.

* The Browns' poor pass coverage.

* Being on the field too much because of a poor Browns offense.

What should the Browns emphasize more in their offensive game plan?

* Fewer short passes, with Derek Anderson passing downfield.

* Getting the ball to Jerome Harrison and James Davis, whether Jamal Lewis plays or not.

* Throwing more to the tight ends.

* Using Joshua Cribbs in multiple ways.

* Quick-release passes to take pressure off the offensive line.

Which factor is most likely to have a major impact on the game?

* Derek Anderson starting at quarterback will give the Browns more confidence.

* The Bengals are playing well, and know if they make few mental mistakes, they should win.

* The Browns are playing tight, too afraid to make mistakes due to Eric Mangini's coaching style.

* The Bengals will take the Browns lightly.

* The Browns are a better team than they have shown.

Which is most likely to be the final score?

* Browns win, 31-27.

* Browns win, 27-13.

* Browns win, 17-16.

* Bengals win, 17-13.

* Bengals win, 31-10.

I've changed my tune from Cincy blowout to Browns upset.

Browns 23

Cincy 21

DA looks good, perpetuates QB-gate. Defense actually tackles & covers people. Fans pleasantly surprised, we WIN a home game.
