Fun with ESPN 360.com

I bash ESPN a lot--screw you, Neil Everett--but I have to give credit where appropriate. Watching games live on ESPN 360.com is really cool. You don't get the big games of the week, but you get to watch a lot of games for free. And you get to see just what other fans get week in and week out from their local announcers.

As an example, Virginia-UNC. One average team, one that sucks out loud. And an announcer who thought that this would be the best way to explain an illegal motion penalty on UVA: "There's enough movement there...in like, a player piano." Which just goes to show that there are, what, fifteen competent color guys working football broadcasts in America?
