Pumpkin Eater
McCain seems to be his own worst enemy. Why did he release an ad talking about Joe the Plumber when all polling has shown that Americans don't like the guy or any reference to him? OconRecon
I don't get the value of playing to the base when you need the middle to win. Who else was the base going to vote for? They had them anyway.
Pumpkin Eater
Yeah I'm not sure I understand that either. I read some article that said McCain had some good news because his base was motvated to vote for him.... like they wouldn't have any way?
OconRecon
I guess if McCain would have picked Romney, then maybe some of the religious base could have gone Obama/Biden, being as Romney is an EVIL Mormon and McCain is on wife #3 or something. Or maybe the thought was without a strong base, you have nothing. By the way, Obama up in Montana and North Dakota? It's incredible and darn near unthinkable he's even competing there. Re: North Dakota, mark my words, they're going to be huge in the energy boom. Tons of oil sands and some of the strongest wind in the country. Just across the border in Canada they're setting up to drill like crazy.
