qbguru
Is Clevleland getting the rep of the end of line for QB careers? Qbs careers fade in this town? Why?
Steeler SChick
It's the "curse". Yinz are a career killer for coaches also up there in dirty, dirty Cleveland. Regards .... an'at .
calfoxwc
Why? Because most years, the oline couldn't protect the qb, and couldn't give the qb a solid running game. Or a top 5 defense to bail him out of a close game

Or a top 5 defense to bail him out of a close game Yes because a good defense would have turned Tim Couch into Joe Montana. A running game would have made Derek Anderson into John Elway. A better O-line would make Brady Quinn into Steve Young. Maybe your QB's have sucked, because your QB's aren't very good.

Canton Mike
Our oline would have turned Steve Young into Tim Couch. IMHO, Tim Couch could almost SUE the Browns for ruining his career. That kid never had a chance, yet I believe he was the single most productive QB we've had since the Browns came back. Mike

Sez.EJ
Is Clevleland getting the rep of the end of line for QB careers? Qbs careers fade in this town? Why? You gotta ask why? How about a decade with the worst OL in football. changing coaches every 2 minutes, how about stripping down and rebuilding every 5 minutes.. Seriously.. When is the last time we had a coach here longer than 3 years??? MARTY... thats 20 plus years ago... and your asking WHY?

They haven't been the most talented in the league.....can't argue that. So let's say the Browns had drafted Big Ben....would they have 2 superbowls?
