I'm personally happy about keeping Mangini...he had zippo to work with and did get some nice mileage out of the defense, BUT...what a difference it makes to win a few games...

GEEZE, this board was killing this coach till week 12...and now the about face and Mangini is the best thin since internet porn........I'm sure this will change once again about Mangini...if he gets off to an 0-3 start again next year...

This team needs real play-makers....we all know that...now Holmgren needs to go find some...

Start with a QB......PLEASE>>

That about face for me was mangini opening "the process" up more and becoming genuine and himself after the bye week..once i took the hate blinders off i began to "get it" and knew i had been wrong at least im not ashamed to admit it...holmgren made the right choice and the afcn will be ours soon enough!

Screw you stooler fags you are finished!

Gips,

Unlike most posters who expressed their dislike for Mangini on this board, you have explained why you have done your 180. What's more is that it you say it had to do with Mangini's "change" as you call it and not simply the 4-0 mark in December. I respect the hell out of you for explaining yourself instead of just fading away or denying that you "hated" EM at one time.

Glad you're on board. Have faith, this will prove to be the best move the expansion-era organization has made. Blue collar, working-man football is back and it feels great.

I don't think that's entirely true. I know I never jumped on the anti-Mangini bandwagon.

In addition to the four wins, the other thing that changed was Mangini really started to publicly articulate his philosophy about the Browns. He was able to demonstrate the growth of the players who moved up as injuries claimed the starters. We started to hear players talk about what they've learned and the progress they've made throughout the season. We were able to see it on the field. We all started to be proud to be Browns fans again. It's not as simple as winning four games. Did it hurt that the team embarrassed the Steelers? Of course not. But that alone wasn't enough to get Browns fans enthused again.
