Joker Boy Posted January 20, 2010 Report Share Posted January 20, 2010 CLEVELAND -- New general manager Tom Heckert began his overhaul of the Cleveland Browns' personnel department with four firings. AFC North blog ESPN.com's James Walker writes about all things AFC North in his division blog. - Blog network: NFL Nation Heckert dismissed the pro personnel group Thursday, spokesman Neal Gulkis said. The department was headed by senior director Steve Sabo, who had been with the Browns since 1998. Keith O'Quinn, Jim Jauch and James Kirkland were also let go. Sabo was responsible for scouting NFL teams and assisted with advance game scouting. Pro personnel director O'Quinn spent one year with the Browns after coming over from the Dallas Cowboys. Jauch, associate director of college and pro personnel, spent six seasons in Cleveland, and assistant director Kirkland joined the Browns in 2004. Maybe he'll fire that guy next....of course Mike is probably having trouble getting through since Heckert probably changed all of the phone lines... Nobody really nominated them, its kind of like when a throne is empty its up for grabs. Anyone of us couldve became dawgpound mike, but im not sure that id want to.
