  1. NFLN had both The Drive and The Fumble on the other day, and I watched them from beginning to end. It was a film review and a bit different than other telecasts I have seen over the years, but I was mesmerized the entire time. There were great interviews with players like Mecklenburg and Mike Johnson, awesome sideline banter and film of the players mic'd up, killer slow motion replay views and an overall crowd intensity from both stadiums that I don't know has ever been matched. Two teams that bitterly wanted to win and flat out didn't like each other, although there was great respect as well. Both radio teams were used along with Enberg and Olsen, even though the Denver guy sounded so much like Gib Shanley that it confused me at times since we had Nev. A different era of football and quite frankly my favorite era. Even though we lost those games, they still bring back fond memories for me of a time when football was just football and it was beautiful, physical and intense. And a "what if" from that (besides the Byner fumble) would be -- what if Mark Harper or Felix made the tackle on Mark Jackson in Mile High? For years I pretty much thought that Denver would have easily drove to win the game in regulation, but not so much anymore. Denver had periods in that game where they didn't execute, or the Browns did their jobs on D. Even the long Mark Jackson TD to temporarily stave off the Browns' comeback should have been a 3 and out, but Mark Harper missed an easy tackle and Felix got juked because he took a bad angle. Denver was punting it away and puckered tight if Harper makes the tackle short of the first down like he should have. A great play by Jackson, though, so credit where it's due. Denver puckered at times in that game so there is no guarantee they drive at will, let alone make the FG imo. I actually prefer watching The Fumble telecast even though it is in Denver. Reason is the Browns came storming back and were really kicking Denver's azz after spotting them 14 easy points off stupid turnovers (Mack fumble and pick from Slaughter bobble). Mack and Byner were gashing and Bernie was dealing, it was sweet as hell. I really thought the Browns were the better team that day, but I also thought they were better the year before, too. The Drive was just a sloppily played game by the Browns and they shot themselves in the foot. Mack fumbled away a drive and Bernie made some bad decisions. Just too many missed opportunities to put them away and then everything had to go absolutely perfect on that last drive for Denver. Another big issue in that game was that Slaughter left early due to being injured, so that hindered the passing game even more. But the Browns made way too many mistakes. Should have been about 30-10 imo. But obviously the focus on The Drive was the drive itself, whereas the focus on The Fumble was the Browns comeback.
  2. Any d-bag list and James Harrison has to be on it.
  3. Deshaun Watson's NFL hearing to continue through at least Wednesday, source says
  4. I was going to start a thread before the season on how to watch games from home if you are out of market. I have never missed a game since moving to Florida and that is without having Sunday Ticket. I also listen to each game on Browns radio. I'll put something together during camp.
  5. Browns dispute new stadium reports, planning 'significant' renovations to FirstEnergy Stadium
  6. Remember Evan Moore-celain Doll? Dude got concussions without even being hit.
  7. I'm going to Miami! Will do it myself, not a problem.
  8. As we anxiously await the schedule release (hopefully a game one that is very winnable), I was curious if anybody already had their sites on a particular city to hit up this season. Living here just south of Sarasota has me eying the under 3 hour drive to Miami. Would be nice if it was a little later in the season, though, as Flugs and I went to the Tampa Bay game in 2018 and it was burning hot lmao. What a screw job that game was...
  9. I doubt DEJ is back but don't see them moving Hunt this year. He is an integral part of winning now. Chubb - Hunt - Ford - Kelly - Felton I like Kelly as well.
  10. Watson is an enigma to me Flugs. Missed 3 games with a hammy last year and tore knee cartlidge in 2019. Very high ceiling guy who could be a great scheme fit with our running game. He doesn't track the deep ball well, though, kinda like watching Schwartz apparently. I wouldn't be upset if we took him,, but won't cry if we don't or he is already gone. "A more likely outcome is that he uses the spring and summer to bulk up to around 215 pounds and emerges as his new team's primary deep threat by the end of next season. While his drop rate is a concern (13.3 percent career, 10.4 in 2021), teams are going to hit by taking insanely athletic players who love the game much more often than they miss." "Best Scheme Fit: As a complementary receiver in a run-heavy offense that utilizes a lot of play-action deep shots. Best Team Fit(s): Bears, Browns, Commanders, Colts, Cowboys, Eagles, Falcons, Giants, Lions, Packers, Saints"
  11. You need to link this sort of thing and copying a Twatter post from some rando Big Time Insider doesn't get it.

  13. I can't believe they're willing to bring that guy back here.
  14. The oft injured with a sock tackle Evan Moorecelain Doll.
  15. There were a couple of issues with Tretter that may have helped the Browns make the move besides cap, even with him being a top 6 center for years. His Bavaroesque inability to practice each week due to his knees (with the caveat that he did play almost all the time). Being the NFLPA President didn't necessarily have the best interests for the Browns or the locker room. This has been discreetly mentioned by several sources.
  16. Threw this in Flugel's thread but I will place it here as well. Well, we signed a center. Former second rounder. Ethan Pocic agrees to terms with Browns Here is his PFF.
