If that bastard wins again our country is in deep, deep trouble internationally. When the historians write up their history of when freedom was lost worldwide, they will point to this moment as the beginning of the end. Of course that will be the required position since they will not be free to say otherwise, but I can hear Putin, Xi and Kim all saying in unison.... š
Ā
Ā
When freedom was lost........ what the heckĀ are you talking about. What freedoms hasĀ Trump diminished, taken away etc? What makes you say freedom lost when talking about this president? Taking away free speech or ārequired positionā.... Iāve seen nothing from this president that would make me think anything other than the exact opposite. Iāve seen nothing to make me think Trump stands for anything other than increasing personal freedoms. Iām fine to agree to disagree, but Iād sure like you to elaborate on that.Ā

Tested positive last Friday. Never was too worried about catching it, but Iāve never been so sick for so long. Iāll need a new stomach and maybe a new lung or two when this is over.Ā

To go from what we had at Oline last year to what we have now is pretty damn incredible.Ā

Youāre spreading more nonsense, the Senate only needs 51 votes.

Exactly Woodster. Bet the ranch Republicans have a short attention span and try to nominate another conservative justice. And before I getĀ attacked byĀ MAGAs, that's the #1 reason with a bullet why I voted for Trump in the first place. AnyĀ attempt by DTĀ to pack the Court in a lame duck term will fly like a lead balloon in the Senate.Ā Ā The Democrats aren't about to forget the Garland gambit- there's no way in hell Mitch and his pals are going to get 60+ yes votes before January...Ā
I think youāre right about the votes. I was against it when Obama wanted to put one in right before an election and Iām against Trump doing it.Ā

Because the 16K that were allowed in the stadium booed the playersĀ as they held hands?
JJ Watt couldn't understand why they were booing, explaining it was a display of unity.
Unity of what may I ask?
Ā
Thatās what Iāve been asking for a long time.Ā

I asked you a question in another thread and never saw a response. If you did, my bad.Ā
ĀI genuinely want to know why you believe our society is so racist and what we can do or do differently to change that.Ā
ĀIt seems this issue comes up a lot and I wanted to know your thoughts.Ā

I don't follow. What religious/moralĀ stuff do Christian Conservatives agree with Trump on?
That you shouldn't kill babies? That all lives matter?
The Pope is big on climate change, gay marriage and surprisingly is not hard on abortion like every pope before him.Ā
ĀSo, yea, I guess. Not killing babies, man/woman marriage and not believing the earth is coming to an end shortly because humans are raising the temperatureĀ

A lot of Christian conservatives agree with what Trump says. A lot of liberal Christians agree with what Pope Francis says. Yikes. Says a lot about Christians and politics, if you ask me. IMO, all Christians should believe mostly, if not completely, the same thing. All were taught the same thing, if Iām not wrong.Ā

real deep shit there...Ā I'm sure old facebook loved it
You posted in another thread how systemic racism paved the way for a lot of minoritiesĀ to live in low income areas and (Iām assuming you also meant) live at or below the poverty line. I canāt disagree on all levels, due to there obviously being a problem with systemic racism from the founding of the county until the 1960ās when Jim Crow was abolished and the country made huge strides with civil rights. The government made changes to law that kept anyone from being discriminated against based on their colorĀ and (I believe) the citizens of this country responded pretty damn well. Are there still some people that are blatantly racist and biased? Obviously. Is that percentage of people anywhere close to what it was 50,60,70 years ago?Ā I donāt believe so at all. So my question is this.... Where is it that you now see inequality? In the government? In the citizens? What do we do differently or what do we do that we are not doing now to keep inequality from being an issue at all?

If masks are safe, why are they pushing mail in voting?
LOL. No, masks are not 100% āsafeā. Masks greatly reduce the chance of spreading the disease. I would encourage everyone to wear one while standing in line to vote.Ā
